Auto Rifles, Sidearms and Scout Rifles need a buff in PvP

3 RepliesSidearms are actually pretty good now, maybe need 1-2 m range buff only. Auto rifles are also pretty good. Problem is that pulse rifle lasers and sniper hand cannons absolutely outrange and damage them. For scouts I agree.

Autos and scouts need a buff period. And some exotic autos need a little extra help... [u]Sweet Business[/u]: With shotties and fusions now a thing up close, it needs a close-range damage buff, maybe a faster time to get its RoF up to max. And is it possible to get its max RoF up to 1080 instead of 900. Maybe a 120-round magazine, too. [u]SUROS Regime[/u]: It needs a larger damage increase for the last few rounds in the magazine. In D1, its last shots did about 50% more damage. Maybe the bonus for the last quarter mag, nine bullets, could be 5% (default bonus), 7%, 10%, 13%, 16%, 20%, 25%, 30%, last bullet 35%. [u]Polaris Lance[/u]: Most scouts, I think, just need an across the board damage buff. But this thing's exotic perk is very underwhelming. Maybe have the Perfect 5th perk keep happening with each ensuing precision hit after the 5th, instead of resetting, maybe even have it intensify after the 8th hit or so (call it Full Octave or something)? It would do next to nothing in PvP, since 5 precision hits already kill any Guardian, but it would make the gun a beast in PvE.

So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

Everyone says they need a body shot buff but auto rifles ALSO need a headshot buff as well. Their time to kill is horribly slow compared to any other gun that's meta right now. I believe I said this in a reply but suros regime is the ONLY auto rifle really viable right now and even then it's hit or miss.

2 RepliesAutos are ease of use weapons. Precision aiming with always trump them. As it should be. Sidearms are actually quite good if you play defensively. They're great for handling players that rush. I personally don't like them because they're hard on my trigger button. And 3 tap scouts are pretty even with 3 tap pulse rifles in my opinion. This is coming from someone who loves his Last Perdition and Transfiguration.

1 ReplyScout rifles would be ok if D2 had more big maps. Autos should be a bit more forgiving. A bit more bodyshot dmg should be enough. Sidearms are mostly fine. I play most of my pvp games with the crucible one and do ok and I'm not the best pvp player.

2 RepliesBows are not all that great either, I know a bunch of people that don’t even use bows will say they are fine but as someone that chose to main them and is really good at crucible I can day bows are not as good as people think they are. Anyone can have a good game with any weapon, we all know if you try hard enough you can do very well. The issue is bows are not competitively good, bows are just a niche archetype, they are just used for fun and making a few montages if you get lucky and go against a few potatoes. All I would simply ask for bows is for them all to have archers tempo and slightly faster draw time, if thats too much then a small increase in damage would be great to combo it off with a side arm. I know we can sort of do that with hand cannons already but the swap is not as fast as using a sidearm. Buffing sidearms on top of that could finally create a new meta that wont break the game

A lot of scout rifles are actually pretty good, they just aren’t used because stagger effects them too much. That’s my theory at least

I agree with the others but sidearms are such a boring weapon type. If they were buffed to be top tier and I had to use them, I might just quit the game. :| The second half of year 3 was actual garbage.
