So let me get this straight. Menagerie cheese, keep the weapons. Enhancement core cheese, keep the cores. Bad juju cheese, take away the catalyst and the emote. How is that a fair and balanced penalty/punishment.

I did the cheese originally has a PvP player who literally saw it advertised on Forbes of all places. Take it away fine but I thought if I did all the bounties to turn everything in legitly it would work again and I could have the catalyst as someone who likes bad juju still not so worried about the emote while that would have been nice too. Like I'm trying to figure out now if the catalyst is permanently banned? If so I want all my 2.5k bright dust I've spent during this shortage of it for each bounty. That's equal to actual real life currency any more and if that can be literally robbed of me I feel it's only fair I get my bright dust back at minimum. That shit isn't cheap or easy to obtain. Either catalyst or my bright dust. One of the two needs to give up. That's a double standard that says we can do it to you but you can't do it to us. It was a problem of faulty development not people using hardware to manipulate the game. Shit like this is why I don't recommend destiny to anyone and if I found another fps fantasy shooter game like this series it wouldn't be a hard sell to have me switch. This has been more hours than 10 legend carries.

1 ReplySo what you're saying is the equivelant of robbing a bank and then wondering why you have to give the money back when you get caught.
-
Yeah, they should have disabled Bad Juju itself and not just the catalyst.

This.

4 RepliesEdited by olly5656: 7/19/2019 8:54:04 PMBungie is lenient on cheeses this is the first time in Destiny history they’ve taken away a gun for cheesing and it’s not actually the full gun. You can keep bad juju if you cheesed you just lose the catalyst and emote. AND even then they still let you do it legit. So put on a Calus set, hop in a forge and stop your useless posts. Your complaining is wasting my time and yours.

Lol somebody got caught cheese’n
-
1 ReplySo let me get this straight: You are trying to hold someone else accountable to following a fair and balanced approach when you yourself intentionally went the Unfair and Unbalanced way of cheesing?!? Practice what you preach much? lol
-
they also nerfed a 5500 Pinnacle Weapon......
-
that cry is oof
-
Relax. Your grind to get the catalyst and emote will now have to be done by those that cheesed if they want them. They will have use planetary materials, shards, glimmer and Bright Dust just like you did.
-
Anyone at this point who -blam!- about it did the exploit so I don’t have any sympathies. Just play the -blam!-ing game, not like it permanently takes your digital accomplishment away.

The Menagerie cheese still took some actual work, you just got 6x the rewards for it. This cheese allowed for people to put in no effort and cheese their way up to the rewards. As for the Enhancement cores... Bungie is still maintaining their policy of not punishing cheaters. The fact is with this the cheese no longer contributes to the mechanisms in game, so now it locks players out of those rewards and triumphs. A material exploit is a different beast.

2 RepliesThe problem: they will not hit a wall when upgrading like anyone that did it legit will. Farming mats for those that did it legit is close to D1 level again. The purpose of the Tribute Hall was to drain player resources. Cheesers bypassed this and claimed the rewards without paying the penalty(having to farm or spend other resources).
-
1 ReplyProbably because it can be fixed in such a way that reverts progress back to normal. Cores and weapons cannot be taken away because there isn't a way to identify the ill-gotten rewards. You get to keep the weapon, that's good enough.
-
Why does it have to be fair and balanced ? its bungos game, maybe they just punish the cheesemongers how they like. I'd take the weapon use away too if you cheeses the original 18. Who cares anyway.
-
9 RepliesBecause there's an easily varifiable way to check who used the exploit and who didn't. There's no way to argue against this that doesn't expose you as a cheater.
-
Edited by GalaxySpider: 7/19/2019 7:05:42 AMBecause Bad Juju is a progress based quest via triumphs. For the chalice, there was no way to fully upgrade it day 1 via a glitch.
-
Bungie isn't taking anything away. Bungie is simply making everyone pay for thier items.
-
1 ReplyImaging thinking that 5mins of minimum effort to do the menagerie chest exploit where no materials were required is equal to avoiding spending hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of materials even with doing the discount bounties
-
2 RepliesSo let’s dissect this a little Menagerie: bungie deemed the glitch as something not worth a punishment and was also reminiscent of HoW when it was about to launch. Patched accordingly but gave the community enough time to squeeze out 2 weeks worth more. Masterwork cores: the weapons were disabled within a few hours of the glitch being discovered and if they had taken any longer it would have been much worse as people were in school or at work. Bad juju: you literally bypassed an entire event and it’s purpose, where the gun can easily be obtained day one and the catalyst by doing all the triumphs besides the raid triumphs.

1 ReplySo you took advantage of the exploit and think you should be able to keep everything without spending ANY materials and not nearly as much time as the people who actually earned their stuff?
