Yeah please bring back the illusion of choice so I, and many others, can go right into the set of perks they've already grouped up for us.
Good plan. Just like bounties, bet you all love flying to each destination for the loading screens like it's sonic 2006.
When are you guys just going to get to the part where you actually think about an improvement? Believe it or not D1 was no different in the mediocre department.

It was actual choice, some of the choices were not good, but there was choice. And we were never forced to use 3 stupid perks just to have 1 decent one. Looking at you spectral tree

Not the point anyway, it's still just as mediocre and uninteresting. It's essentially a bunch of programming and design work, months of effort, to gain nearly the same effect. It's moronic. Just take what is there and add to it wherever needed. The main complaint is lack of choice, and that is not difficult to solve. Especially if people think D1 is some form of impressive.

That's not what the illusion of choice means. D1 subclass structure was not ground breaking or anything, but it was far, FAR better than what we have now. Plus bungie knows how to make it.
