this isnt a bungie issue, it's an overall accessibility thing. Destiny isnt the only game with a sprint function. to all the people complaining that bungie doesnt have a direct way of contacting them this is why, issues like this dont fall onto them.
95% of the player base doesnt have the issues that OP does, they can't change a game mechanic based on what a small number of players have issues with.
as for OP, get a strike pack addon for your controller and make one of the paddles the sprint button, it's cheaper than an elite controller.
don't try to change the game for us all based on your singular issue, find a way to work around it.

battlefield? cod? halo? rainbow 6? GTA V? Fallout 4-76? those are some big titles without any auto run

In halo 5 (the only halo game with modern sprinting, reach and 4 dont count and every other halo doesnt have sprint at all) and the titanfall series have an auto sprint after moving in a certain direction for a short period of time. Some games in the battlefield series allows you to double tap the stick forward to start sprinting. You can sprint by default in fortnite. Some call duty games have an auto sprint feature. And it's all changeable in the settings so it doesnt affect you unless you change it yourself. For the record, rainbow 6 is a tactical shooter, auto sprint would only hurt you there as it would probably hinder you more than benefit. GTA is a completely different type of game so it shouldn't be considered.

halo 4 has sprinting, battelfield five still requires the same button presses that OP is complaining about. i dont play titanfall or fortnite since one is lack luster and the other is garbage, GTA has shooter elements and if OP plays it, i hope he doesnt have an issue constantly tapping A.

Tapping a button doesnt feel the same as clicking a stick. Requires more finger strength to click a stick which is why I said halo 4 and reach dont count (you press a button to use it, not a stick). Same logic applies to gta. Like I said before, battlefield doesnt require you to actually click the stick. You can just press the stick forward twice to start sprinting (like minecraft if you ever played that, which could possibly be added to the list as it is first person perspective). And once again, you dont have to have it turned on so it wont affect you. I dont really understand why your disputing this. This isnt going to change the game for you and everyone else like you claim. It's all in the settings and it's all changeable. We live in an age of games trying every way they can to be more accessible and this is an extremely simple way of doing so. Theres nothing wrong with it and can only benefit people. And for the record, I agree fortnite is extreme garbage and if you haven't tried titanfall 2 I would highly recommend it. Definitely the best modern shooter I've played this decade.

Cod literally has auto sprint rofl, I don’t play battletrash and fallout 69 but i’m assuming they would be fine with implementing it if the need arose.

Secondly, yeah, it could be considered a bungie problem, they guy is making a harmless request for accessibility in the game, his feedback is worth just as much as anything about raids or so on, shit, should we remove the colourblind features cause ‘thats not a bungie problem’ blind people should just get gud hey? How insensitive of you. elitist? for not having a degenerative muscle disease? ok dude. he might as well be making the same request to EA for battlefield, all the designers for CoD, 343 with the new halos, and any other game that has a separate sprint button. Who's the elitist now? the one who wants bungie and by extension every game company to change how their games works because of an issue that effects very few people or me for wanting things to remain how they are and suggesting him an alternative way? "should we remove coloblind settings", they dont change how the game is played so no. also the bungie forums are filled with redditors like you. dont worry, you can white knight on a reddit thread about how you showed an evil elitist his own evil ways.
