My K/D isn't something I'm emotionally attached to like some of these weird mofos. It doesn't grant me better gear. Or anything - for that matter.
I go in, and experiment. For a game with several hundred guns with god knows how many potential rolls, is that a bad thing?
I'm not looking to try carry a team of six every time I'm in. I know I can't. I'm looking to enjoy myself, and potentially find something that can help me do better than what I sometimes lean towards using.
Won't know that information until I play enough with it. And if my newly chosen loadout sucks, my K/D suffers. Big deal, lol.
At least I learned something and I'm not leaning on my kinetic/energy crutch like some of these fools.
