Been running Bad Juju in the Menagerie etc and it just feels incredibly underwhelming. The regen perk is great and all, but actually getting it to stack in higher light PVE content feels more frustrating than rewarding, it doesn't have the damage output to keep up an even remotely decent chain with how short the string of curse timer is. Don't have the catalyst yet so maybe it's better with it.
From what I've seen of PVP it looks pretty decent, but against anything other than the weakest of enemies like thrall it seems pretty mediocre in PVE and not really worth running. Pretty sure I could chain more super energy with kills and orbs using a masterwork sub or better pulse.

you need to run RatKing in the menage with other Rat's. Holey Moley is it fun, great way to get the catalsyt done as well. Have a few Locks with Lunafaction's on and it becomes godly.
-
It needs to go into the secondary slot, and have burn cycling like Hard Light.

I noticed on Menagerie with my Warlock that even with trash mobs, I was still not getting kills fast enough to keep (let alone start up) SoC active. If it’s really that weak, I will not be going through the trouble of Tribute Hall anymore (except for obtaining the ammo tributes since they can be used). My Outbreak with it’s Catalyst has been satisfying me to a great degree to where I intend to put it on all 3 of my characters alongside Recluse. -
Yeah I was using it and sometimes it feels like I'm shooting a pea shooter. In crucible when you get String of Curses going, it makes the other team change spawn. It rips.

1 ReplyI think if it had more range and could hit enemies that were further away more reliably like Outbreak it would be a lot better. However, Using Bad Juju with any of the Super Regen Armor, basically like the armor never got nerfed.

It's a strike gun always has been

2 RepliesEdited by Pocket Fox: 7/18/2019 3:25:30 PMLow impact weapon. That's why. Even higher impact guns like Austringer require 2 crits to kill a red bar in the Menagerie (before something like Rampage is in full swing). It's a hidden power delta in Destiny for certain activities. Nightfalls are the same way. The normal power delta is 50 power levels over the recommend power level, which is 690 in Menagerie. So in theory as long as you are 740+, Menagerie shouldn't feel any different than a strike or a lost sector. But we all know that's not true. Even though we exceed the max power delta, enemies are still much stronger than in other areas where we exceed the max power delta.

It needs more explosions.

5 RepliesNot even. Bad Juju is insanely good, you just suck.

2 RepliesCrimson has just been wiped out completely lol

Gotta say, I wasn’t much of a fan of it in D1 😲 Then again, I never paired it with Obsidian Mind, as my Warlock wore Voidfang Vestments so probably never saw its full potential. Plus I preferred using a super charged Tlaloc.

All I want is armor piercing rounds on it
-
The game seems so lacklustre at the moment. Netflix and Amazon Prime are getting a hammering though.
-
Kill all the Minors then focus on a Major when you have Strings.
-
3 RepliesI mean....it's basically for weaker enemies.
-
3 RepliesI love bad juju but I feel like I get my super back faster with recluse. Just because it shreds and that creates orbs quickly.
-
3 RepliesI used Bad Juju until I finished the catalyst. Not really a reason to use it over my masterworked Outbreak Perfected
-
It's better when you're by yourself. Don't have to fight for kills to keep String of Curses up.
-
It’s decent gun. But that’s it
-
Edited by Infamous067: 7/18/2019 5:57:21 PMEven on destiny 1, bad juju wasn’t really the best gun for higher level content. Bad juju works best when you are at the level or higher required for that activity. I personally think thats a good thing, it makes it so players actually want to use other weapons and not only rely on bad juju, this makes it so it wont get nerfed too because players would over use it
-
It gets worse when you have more people to compete with for kills
-
Its the same as other pulse rifles of its archetype.
-
I don't think it's worth running over a good Blast Furnace until you've gotten the catalyst. Then the Curse perk lasts long enough to chain multiple kills.
-
It is niche. In pve, it is just a full auto/auto reloading low level ad clearer that feeds you super energy. In pvp.. the amount of effort and or luck to get the guns perk fully proc-ed is next to impossible to do with any consistency at this point in time.
-
Slightly. However if you manage to chain together the perk timing with regards to your actual kills, you can basically continue firing at a mob without reloading until they are all dead. However, if a teammate gets the kill then that doesn’t work. Which could be offset a little if it took even just one less shot to kill an enemy, OR if the magazine was a little larger.
