The real issue with this whole thread is this fact......
There is literally no way to directly contact Bungie at all! What kind of self respecting company doesn’t even have a customer service email or phone number to reach them? If you need any help, you legit have to post on the forum and hope somebody answers. What a joke this company is now.

I wouldn’t have a direct way to be contacted either with how toxic destiny players are. There’d be death threats because they lost in comp, constant crying down the phone because they didn’t get an exotic yet. It would be horrendous
-
A moderator hasent even responded, they legit either dont care or ignore these posts
-
You expect them to show up for anything other than banning name and shame posts?
-
#help exists and is replied to every day.

Edited by PrimitiveAK: 7/17/2019 7:42:54 PMActually that's not true. Every company takes direct mail-ins for Consumer Affairs (usually what most companies call it). Not all have a customer support line because most people are immature enough to blow up their line with ridiculous requests that aren't even necessary for a call-in. It's in that really FINE print that no one reads at the bottom of the page that usually says "Contact Us" and then the address is usually at the bottom of the website. It's there, just no one thinks to look deep enough.

We can contact Ninja easily.
-
Actually the real issue is thus thread is in the wrong place, it should be tagged help.
-
Agreed!
-
Yes the reason behind that though is Bungies phones would melt, burn the line over what they still have not yet done, which is make a playable game that does not rely on 20 hours a week watching YouTube. Honestly Bungie you have secrets that don't even realise they are the secret. Push lever in the correct order and find the secret door. Only way i know that is because some nice person posted on YouTube honestly how the F were we supposed to work that out. JOKE. I am with the players on here who you constantly let down and exploit. Best Bungie not give their phone number out yet. I do not think that any phone line could take the volume of complaints and that is just about the crucible.
-
Agreed, Or at the very least some kind of ticket system in the help section of the forum.
-
If they had contact info they would just be spammed with angry complaints about the game
-
Rightly so, Bungie couldn,t fix a dog fight with the help from the Mafia. I know this because they couldn't fix crucible and as for that condescended shit head. 'Come back stronger' i could strangle the git.

So what’s the excuse that almost every other game company and developer has a contact phone number or direct customer support emails?? Sounds like a sad excuse you’re using to defend Bungie with 🐸 ☕️
-
The difference between destiny/bungie and other games is that this is probably the most passionate community of them all. Whether it is love or hatred, people care a lot about this game and desperately want it to be good. With that desperate desire for the game to be good comes complaints... lots of complaints. And a lot of them without reason, just angry complaining. I will be the last person to defend bungie this game has countless flaws, but I will also be the last person to come on the forum in a rage throwing in complaints and insults about how bad the game is. That is not a trait that is shared between a lot of people, a lot of people like to complain just to complain with no reasoning and just anger. If bungie gave contact info, these people would use it to their advantage and spam their inbox with the same stuff they spam on the forum.
-
Bullshit.
-
I think you’re undervaluing the passion of other gaming communities. Diablo community is crazy. Don’t get me started on WOW. Despite it’s straightforward gameplay, the COD community is quite toxic. I’d probably agree that the destiny community tops the scale on the passion/aggro scale vs others, but not by enough that I’d say it’s OK not to have a way to directly contact them.

Warcraft and other games at least give you quests that you can read and make sense. Secrets yes, but not every pissing thing is secret. That only happens on this game. Also they allow players to catch up on stuff when the level of your character goes up in levels. Allowing you to solo stuff your were unable to do. This piece of crap does the opposite, they put the run scale up with your own. Madness absolutely madness. Games do this so that players have the ability to progress instead of getting stuck with no flipping idea what to do, where to do it, and what to do it with, and to top that when to do something.
-
Your response didn’t address the topic at hand which is why Bungie doesn’t have a way to directly contact them for support. But with respect to your completely new topic... There has never been a time playing either destiny game where I didn’t know how to progress further. Literally EVERY activity you do provides an opportunity to progress. You can argue about the validity of grind or infusion or balance or weak story or even the way that progression works and all might be true to one extent or another. But progressing through the game, increasing light level, obtaining new weapons, beginning story missions... all are as completely transparent as they come. Sure, there are riddle quests that require either some deciding/trial and error or a google search, but that’s pretty standard for a non linear game of this size.
-
Some from bunjie is always looking at the forum i see responses from them all the time.
-
If you had over a million users a day, how many real people do you put on phones to answer calls? How many would be enough? In what languages? In what time zones?
-
I don’t know, but ask pretty much every other game developer though, because the majority of them have direct customer service lines or email 🤯
-
I was asking you. Most places that have customer service have either automated or outsourced it. Not a pleasant experience either way. But again, I’m really trying to help you realize what a huge resource pull it is.
-
Um, I know what resources are required for customer service to function, considering that’s the corporate work I handle for a living. To have zero support like Bungie has is a joke from a company with their revenue.
-
Ballpark, how many customers?
-
As a total company-wide, much more than Bungie I can tell you that much. Dell EMC isn’t small, my 30 person team directly deals with over 6,000 different accounts ourselves. Yes we have non-US based support teams, but talking to “Frank” from “Ohio” is still better than not having any actual contact with the company at all. Imagine trying to tell corporate customers having a network issue that we “don’t have an 800 number or email address, but post on this forum and you might get a response”.
