Best Halo weapon - Human / UNSC
Of all the versions of Halo, in your opinion what is the best Human / UNSC weapon?
The reason that I isolated the Halo CE Magnum, for those who haven't played all the Halo games, is it is basically a hand held, short range sniper rifle. In the following games it was nerfed.
I was going to add the SMG (Dual Wielding), but there simply are not enough option lines to add.
If this goes well, I'll move along with Covenant weapons, and vehicles for both sides as well. Probably not the Prometheans, because screw them.

3 RepliesWhen I played with my buddy a few times, I loved the plasma sword thingie. Yup, give me that, a shotty & sticky grenades and I was willing to run headlong into any problem while my buddy stood at the doorway sniping and I died in Glorious Combat!

ODST Pistol is the best looking and best feeling to me. I've always hated the CE Magnum from a balance perceptive though so there is that bias (I guess it could be called an Offensive Bias).

If I was holding off waves, CE Pistol for sure. Favorite to use though is definitely sniper. How come the ODST Magnum is isolated? Maybe I just forgot something it’s been a while.

Edited by Helveck: 7/17/2019 1:17:37 AMI have a soft spot for the AR... But ultimately the CE Magnum reigns supreme. Fun fact, if I recall correctly the Magnum was never intended to be that powerful. A fairly innocent error occurred when someone increased its damage output and forgot to change it back to it's original form prior to sending off the final version. And funny to think it became such a staple.

I have probably literally heard that sound more times than like my mother's own voice. One day, it's going to start tapping out instructions in Morse code, and I'm going to be awakened as a sleeper agent and steal the Declaration of Independence or something. Tbh I always had a soft spot for the Halo CE AR. You gotta do Brute weapons at some point just so we can pay tribute to Hylebos though.

I’ve always loved the appearance of the sniper rifle. 3 year old me thought the night vision in CE was cool as shit.

The original assault rifle is the best for killing flood on legendary. I can’t seem to get the same spread with a shotgun when speed running. Plus it sounds cool emptying its 60 round mag

In regards to actual game mechanics. Halo 2 BR because of hitscan which is so much better than the random spray of the Halo 3 BR and the ability to double shot and BXR which boosts the skill gap.
