I don't necessarily hate Destiny PvP, and I don't mind quests that require PvP, but I would like to have the comp requirements taken out of the game. When I play PvP, I like to relax, play the objective, and try to secure a win. What I don't like is going on LFG, getting into a group with a bunch of tryhards that demand everyone else be as much of a tryhard as them. I understand that grouping up makes PvP easier, but I'd rather play alone or with people I know in real life. That being the case, I am fine with a PvP quest taking a little longer. I grinded out Redrix Broadsword. It took nearly a full season, but I did it, and would do it again for other pinnacle weapons. Just don't make me go into the toxic mess that is the comp playlist.
Also, with New Light coming in September and PvP being free to play, I am hoping for a larger player base to dilute the number of sweaty players in the quickplay playlist, and maybe even comp. I played a lot of PvP in D1, especially in Y3 when I was trying to get my grimoire score as high as I could, so I enjoy PvP when it has a more casual feel to it. Hopefully, we will see a return to that style of PvP rather than the sweatfest we have now.
