You have an argument for quick play, but for comp this makes no sense. No competitive PvP game/mode is meant for solo players, and in just about all of them, if you enter solo, you are liable to face stacks. Bungie has also never said that comp is for solo players, so I don’t understand why people complain about this.
You’re knowingly putting yourself at a disadvantage, and then complaining about it...

Then don't allow solos to queue in. Make it so that you have to have a to4 to join.

Yes, lock out people who don't feel like going to lfg. Brilliant

Already happens for raids, nightfalls, and heroic menagerie. Where's your uproar there?

Edited by draycole: 7/17/2019 4:03:18 PMThose are endgame, high level activities. Comp isn't it's just a ranked mode, nor is quickplay Also you can solo queue into every one of those activities

Nobody said anything about quickplay. However, it takes just as much (if not more) communication to defeat actual thinking, dynamic opponents compared to static AI. IMO, there's two solutions to comp matchmaking. Either take away the matchmaking or don't allow to4's to match against solos/duos/trios. It's not a perfect solution, but would certainly help.

That's only for trials

I’d be fine with that, but competitive games like r6, counter strike, and smite all allow solo queue, it’s just not advised.

Edited by OnyxSpark: 7/17/2019 9:06:52 AMThen why argue comp is not for solos you just contradicted yourself. Christ if League of Legends can do why the -blam!- D2 cant. They started even smaller than Bungie and now people flock to their games because the can actually be challenged not stomped. The have separation on their matchmaking too.

All I’m saying is that just because you can enter solo doesn’t mean you should.
