I understand that Crucible Itself is a bit overwhelming to under-skilled players or players who would rather be playing PvE or quickplay. The crucible quests itself aren’t a problem. The quests are meant to reward powerful weapons to highly skilled players in the form of Competitive Crucible (with the exception of Redrix’s Broadsword). I can understand the frustration of being given only quests that require competitive playing to achieve success. However, bungie should release a new quest that can be done in quickplay with faster progress in competitive to reward a middle tier item for those people who are frustrated in competitive.

It’s not even about skill. It’s about crucible being broken and having a meta of “who can cheese their one shot weapons that require no actual gun skill the best”. I’ve got my pinnacle weapons and got them in like 22 games. It wasn’t necessarily hard to do, it just wasn’t fun which is a huge problem.

Dude I'm sorry to say but there is a very low skill floor and a pretty low skill ceiling when it comes to pubs in Destiny 2. Grenade Launcher spam, OEM, Recluse, in air accuracy debuff, bloom, Contraverse Hold, Lord of Wolves, heavy ammo being up EVERY MINUTE, and skill based matchmaking (stealth implemented by the way,) all this crap leads to an unenjoyable experience. It's not about being bad at the game. I honestly don't care if I have to play crucible to get weapons, low comp is more enjoyable than quickplay at this point, it's just that there is so much cheese in this game it's sickening and makes what should and could be a pleasant experience basically unbearable.

I definitely beg to differ on how there is a small difference between the skill floor and skill ceiling, cause in most circumstances, a stack of unbroken players and a stack of guardian 3 players is day and night, even in 1v1 situations it’s radically different, I mean, have you ever tried to 1v1 an unbroken player? Cause I have, got completely demolished, and I solo queued to every comp pinnacle weapon. What I’m just trying to say is that you said the difference is small, but that fact is not backed up what so ever and that I personally think the skill floor and skill ceiling are light years apart

Of course it is day and night dude, but there is a reason why there are almost no players in the game with a kd over 3 besides Change and Auzez. Unless you are an actual rainman aimbot like them, and you're good at the game, you are in the same basic tier of player as a lot of the people known in the community and will die to cheese just like everyone else. Yes there is a distinct difference between these players and bots that bottom frag every game obviously, but even those bots will score free kills due to rng pellet spread on a shotgun, a recluse with its perk up because they killed another bot in the lobby, or because they randomly flinched someone off their third headshot. I don't have a problem with there being some bs in the game, it's Destiny, but the level it's at right now is holding the game back from being great.

I think op is on about quests for pve weapons (or quests that require mostly pve) instead of crucible pinnacles. Crucible pinnacles should be crucible exclusive however a quest/gun that is acquired in pve shouldnt need pvp to progress imo.

I thought the same thing, why not have a qp equivalent of the comp pinacle weapons?
