I am actually kinda -blam!-ing triggered rn. 95% of my crucible matches have been filled by shotguns and hand cannons. Seriously they r OP AF seriously. Luna howl, not forgotten, last word, ace of spades, trust, austringer and so many more. Do u guys remember back in d1 or not even d1 in d2 vanilla the ureils gift? Do u guys remember how much fun that ar was? Do u remember how much of a joke was hand cannons were?
It's getting to the point tht I am honestly I am on the verge of just becoming a pve player (P.S nothing wrong tht just saying I am on the verge of losing it)
All I am saying if the bungo gods are listening please in shadowkeep or whenever buff ar and scout cause literally the only way to win in pvp is using hand cannons.
Let me know wht u guys think

Edited by Erijian: 7/19/2019 8:17:10 AMNot good times at all. High impact auto meta in D1 sucked Rapid Fire auto meta in D1 sucked Precision Frame meta in D2 sucked They're just..boring, spray weapons.
-
Remember other games that aren't -blam!- and don't balance gun damage based on fire rate? No wonder guns never feel different. It's the same fire rates recycled over and over with varying recoil values. No wonder this game always feels stale.
-
You must be on pc. The only dominant hand cannons on console are luna/nf and 180s Everybody tries to use the rest of them but they just aren't that good.

Edited by michael: 7/18/2019 2:34:23 PMHonestly not really good times. Hand cannons are harder to control and get used to than any auto rifle, having a full auto weapon being the meta does not sound very fun. At the same time though they could definitely be stronger than they are right now, at range they should outperform hand cannons which they dont and they should kill slightly faster. I was trying Gahlrans right hand yesterday and it was surprisingly good, dropped lots of 40 and 50 kill games with it, but in one game there was a guy with not forgotten who had a decent shot and every time I engaged him I lost even when I was hitting every headshot possible and when I would shoot first. In one fight I had frontal assault up, which brings the headshot damage from 36 to 43, and even hitting every headshot but I believe two with that damage boost the best I did was trade. That shouldn’t really be a thing if you ask me. Im just worried that they will buff them too much and auto rifles will become the meta. I remember how annoying doctrine of passing was in taken king, melting people from across widows court. They should just be balanced and nothing more.
-
I hated the doctrine meta in D1. Spray and pray... to easy to melt players and impossible to dodge all bullets.
-
If they buff autos all you'll see in crucible is trace rifles, mainly wavesplitter.
-
Yes. Yes. We here hear you. Our sandbox team will be reducing the range of shotguns to 2-3 feet. Hand cannons will also be reduced to 2-3 feet. Auto rifles base damage will be increased by 45% and range falloff will be extended to 100 meters. Dust off old scathelock, Uriel’s and sweet business. It’s coming. The new world order of auto rifles will return.
-
Hawkmoon is on its way too , 🤗
-
I would prefer Haakon's Hatchet be brought back. That was my best Auto Rifle ever on Destiny 1. It was nice damage and nice rate of fire. Maybe even an Exotic revamped version. I miss the Haakon's Hatchet. Best Auto rifle D1.
-
Uriel’s Gift was not fun.
-
They’re pretty bad in pvp but straight up god awful in pve, like they need some kind of buff. 10-15% straight damage increase in pve would do.

Edited by Timewaster504: 7/18/2019 1:24:23 AMI use an smg from y1 Just reminds me of max rate of fire guns from D1
-
Ah, it's fine. You got the Recluse Wait- what do you mean it's not an AR.
-
Havent seem a powerful autorifle since the Marine corps.
-
Autos just need flinch their targets more. Adaptive HCs get away with corner ducking and autos require a constant hose to compete. Aggressive frames of any weapon type should receive the least flinch and the lighter weapons receive more.
-
I want my Vision Stone.
-
While I agree that auto rifles need a bit more relevance, I completely disagree with your "do you remember how much fun that ar was" statement. In my opinion auto rifles will forever be down in the low skill weapon, something you pull the trigger on first, and aim at target later. Uriel's gift was a bullet hose. I prefer precision to be prioritized over spray and pray.
-
Uriels gift was like the only auto rifle that was good in vanilla D2. That wasn't necessary a auto rifle meta more a Uriel meta.
-
You mean weapons with no skill to use that guardians use with their eyes closed and pray they get kills?
-
Just use an auto rifle. Nothing is stopping you. I always grab random guns from my vault when I’m feeling spicy
-
I remember dead orbit auto rifle in d1, month one was the shit to play with. You could go into a group of 3 and if you played it right. Kill them all. That is a bit OP. But it was sure fun!
-
Edited by Sgt_Wnters: 7/17/2019 2:46:21 PMI mean I'm good on the meta right now. Ar's certainly do not need a buff as they are a support weapon... Meant to lay down a lot of fire quickly not necessarily a lot of damage tho. The last thing we need is a bunch of plebs running around team spraying everything cause that was oh so much fun 🙄🙄 the campy holding hands teamshot beginning to D2....
-
What about sidearms, swords, scouts and most snipers though? Most are trash right now in PVE and / or PVP
-
I loved using autos in D1. They’re not up to scratch in D2. I am ABSOLUTELY SICK of hand cannons.
-
The last wish auto rifle is still very effective long range, and stability is good enough. This is now my favorite for crucible
