Best PVE weapons behind Glory Ranks

Hey bungie, I know It's nice to incentivate people into comp but some of us just don't got the pacience to do so. I'm trying my best at the comp playllst but the truth is I just really suck at PVP. I play this game mainly on the PVE aspect so there's no urge for me to GET GUD at PVP and it's really frustrating to see guns like Mountaintop and The Recluse that I'll probably never get, cause there behind a glory threshold that just seems untangible. What you did with Revoker It's great, player still have to play comp, but no psychological terror having to win every match. I don't know if it's just me, but that really dont make the game enjoyable. I wonder if there's any chance Recluse and Mountaintop get the same treatment in the near future. What are your opinions, people in this forum?

  • If you're going to go for Fabled to unlock Recluse, I would wait for the later part of the season. I'm decent at PvP, nowhere near being all that great, and I was still able to solo queue to Fabled in 4 days of playing. What I did was: I must've started playing on a Monday because I remember getting a Weekly Reset bonus after just starting my grind. I played that next week until I reached 1990+ Glory (took about 3 days), then I didn't touch Comp until after Weekly Reset. The bonus Glory Points got me up to 2118 (I was at 1998 Glory), and I completed both my Luna's Howl and Recluse quests. I did this in the final 2 weeks of the season when a lot of the tryhards must have already been done in Comp for the season, so it was a little easier to do. I remember exactly when I did it because I got to play with LH for a week before SoO launched along with the nerf.

    • What ever happened to having the best legendary pve guns actually come from the raid. Vault of glass and Crota did a great job of that. Raid guns just feel meh in D2. Make them really hard to get but worth it. It’s getting boring using MT and recluse. I’m sure bungie will nerf it otherwise what’s the point in grinding for new guns. Maybe try sticking around a streamers channel for a carry or hit up lfg to find a group to play with. Solo comp is not fun at all.

        • Eh, don’t sweat it. Recluse’s nerf is inevitable, and grenade launchers will probably get a pve damage reduction going into next season.
