These new daily bounties are toxic AF.

Honestly, you're employees dont play near enough of their own game to be able to create fun and engaging content. Latest example: toxic precision kills without dying. On day 4 or 5 now, decided the easiest way to complete all bounties is by doing things toxic. Gambit? Duck it, just going for motes, team can lose. Strikes? Nope, lost sector farm instead.

  • Your choice to do the bounties or not....your choice on how you do them ....sounds like you are more than happy to do want you want even though it effects your team members 👎

        “Destiny is a team game” - Now go to all these INDIVIDUAL tasks that dictate your loadout despite being on a team, sometimes while in actual competition. Destiny is a loot based game. A main draw of the game is acquisition of coveted loot. - Now use this gun for this and that one for that, and this one for that, use this ability for this, get these type of kills for that, get these element kills for this..... Makes perfect sense 👌 🙄 It’s so glaringly, obviously problematic that I wonder if this entire game is just some kind of social experiment where they force several fundamentally opposing things together to see how people react to it.

        • If people trying to farm something that has to be done in a strike would just go into settings and then into date/time and change the date, the problem would be solved. I do this all the time so I don’t have to compete with others for my kills or abandon people to grind my own quest.

          • This isn't just an issue with these bounties. It's an issue with a large portion of the game. Bounties and Exotic quests both include things that create uncooperative people. First of all, they fracture players by forcing them into content they might otherwise not like. Go do Strikes. Go do Raids. Go do Gambit. Go do Crucible. THEN on top of that, once they're now in a pool of people whom don't want to be there, people are then pushed into not trying to actually play the content, but instead trying to farm out whatever other BS requirement they need. Get Precision Kills with Handcannons without dying? Use Grenade Launchers and get double kills? Play using gimpy outdated gear? It's really god damn stupid. Meanwhile, I've started doing the Thorn quest. You know what the first step is? Do Daily Bounties on Io, [i][b][u]OR[/u][/b][/i] kill Warlocks in the Crucible, [b][i][u]OR[/u][/i][/b] do Nightfall Strikes. That is an example of a better type of progression. Not only is it achievable in a variety of different types of content (With players being able to farm faster by doing more difficult tasks). But it doesn't ask you to use any specific types of weapons or gear (I don't have to use a Handcannon to get a Handcannon to be able to use a Handcannon...) I can get the idea behind the intent. Try and get players to try more content, so that you have a more diverse playerbase as well as a higher population in less favoured gametypes. However, forcing this kind of stuff is literally just going to have negative results (Even if you can point at the stats and say "Look, after we added a BS Gambit step to the Lumina quest, more than 3 people actually played that game mode!" it will only be short term, while also causing people to potentially be turned away due to not having fun because of having to play this content with these dumb gear restrictions)

                Since I have 3 toons, I just run the cookie cutter ones. Do 2 pubs, get 50 kills etc... Takes me like 10mins do finish 4 of them.

                  • They are pretty easy to do. Just 1 deposit of 20 motes. 2 crit shots in crucible. Just 1 shot crit everything with a HC in strikes.

                    • I just picked the 2 easiest to do for my main to do, then pick those 2 again on my second character. Usually it's the 2 public events and getting ability kills.

                    • The sad thing is they do have enough employees. Bungo studios is huge. They have thousands of employees. Most of them don't do anything though or they are unskilled goobers so bungo has to hire like 5-6 idiots to do the job that should only require 1 skilled person.

Nope, lost sector farm instead.[/quote] True. It's actually all perfect for teams. Solo players are way behind. 40 strike kills without dieing = the team decides to farm kills... yay. Solo... you're struggling because people speed run strikes. Gambit... Team says Win doesn't matter, let's get those 40 kills. Solo player has to literally play against team for kills only ... 'and' to avoid invader. Etc.

                        This has been an issue plaguing this series since the beginning. It’s a looter shooter where there are an INSANE amount of pursuits that actually dictate your loadout despite that one of the main draws of a looter shooter is..... YOUR coveted LOOT. And cultivating your gear and using your favorite/most efficient loadouts. They also do exactly what you said. They disincentive everything from efficiency to even actually winning in competitive game modes and they encourage inconsiderate farming methods.

                            Do you just call everything you don’t like toxic? Sounds like pretty toxic behavior to me. Just grab the easy bounties but do them on all three characters. I only did the tangled shore public events and 25 precision kills on two of my characters to get the discount for the day. You don’t need to do all four bounties on one character. [quote]Gambit?                             • Just play a nightfall if your going to go off solo and farm. That said you can do the easy bounties on each character so there no need to even touch the PvP/Gambit ones if you don’t want too. I’m a PvP player and even I don’t like the two precision kills without dying, it’s wasn’t hard but I still needed to go out of my way to get it when I’d rather take it easy

Gambit Prime has been hindered by daily bounties for every role making it so everyone on your team is trying to play every role. People get so frustrated that they hate the game mode. I just ran a solo nightfall for the 50 strike precision kills when it comes up so I didn’t have to fight with others for kills which just makes the game less fun. You can complete the general precision kills at the same time.
