Please look into connection issues
I really think there's something wrong with the game right now. Just so much lag. Patrol zones, Gambit, crucible,everywhere. I know I'm going to be referred to network troubleshooting but I've done all that. I'm connected via Ethernet straight to my modem. My speeds are good at around 200mbps down 10 up. My modem signal levels are good. Up/down power levels pretty good. Nat type 2. Ports are open. Just lag everywhere. True vanguard tweeted about matchmaking recently and the lots of comments went off topic talking about this same issue and geekermon just made a video saying he went to wired connection because of lag and STILL had lag. I'm wired straight to my modem and have it too. Just started in the last couple weeks. Please just look into this and see if anything can be done. Thank you!

7 RepliesI suggest you contact your ISP and have them do some tests on your line signal quality and dropped packets. Your ISP might be having an issue. Currently I am not experiencing any lag on my side. Most of the activities you listed are not on Bungie server connections, so if there are issues and they are not on your end, then they must be between your end and Bungie's end and Bungie cannot troubleshoot that. It is not their equipment because your data passes through multiple node hops so it could be any where between those hops. Again, I would start with your ISP and run some trace routes to see if anything is being lost along the way. That is where I would start.

9 RepliesNat type 2 is moderate that means even with a 200 mb connection you are generally going to have a relatively high ping on the games you connect to.
