PSA: SAVE YOUR MATERIALS UNTIL YOU GET THE MAX TRIBUTE HALL DISCOUNT
Hey y'all. just wanted to leave this here. I've seen a number of posts complaining about the cost of tributes, especially from people complaining that our "materials are being drained to get a catalyst", and felt the need to give a friendly reminder that this is [b]not[/b] the case. Every day there are 4 bounties for "Boons of Opulence", and each one grants a 1% discount, so after 20 days of doing the bounties you can have the maximum 80% discount.
I'm not calling anyone out, and not trying to hate on those who do make these posts. However, if you're saying to "Remove 'X' Material From Tribute Hall" or "Lower the Cost", its important to remember--you can literally lower the cost by just playing the game. If you want the catalyst right away, shop to your hearts desire, but it doesn't appear that the catalyst is a game-changer, so you're probably better off waiting for the discount. In a month, everyone will have access to the catalyst, and the only difference will be whether or not you have a nice stockpile of materials to sit back on.

1 ReplyFor any kills in strike, any ability or gun kills, load up your own nf with custom modifiers and kill enemies inside that. Grenadier/brawler for ability kills etc. Will of thousands loads you right at the top lost sector on mars. Easy

Its kinda different for me, as soon tribute hall opened i knew i had to make a choice, to burn down my material faster to get stuff, catalyst faster and triumph, at the cost of ridiculous mats. I was ok with that choice, i knew i could save, what im mostly bummed its the cheese... now i hear you can do whole thing without spending almost nothing.. this give me a sour feeling... i dont mind others who did it,but its lame still. Next time bungie release something similiar i will know, im gonna wait for the 🧀

The discount sounds good but why only 4 a day? For a total of 20 days if you get all 4 done everyday. I don’t mind the grind but it’s a little excessive compared to almost anything else currently in the game

yeah, I don't mind waiting, it's just another pulse. I got outbreak and I'll finish it's masterwork next week. I also wasn't the biggest fan of bad juju in D1. it was good, don't get me wrong, just not something I used often.

I just dumb that I waste it...But Shadowkeep won’t need brights. Am I complain.? Just little I did complain a bit that I want popcorn emote that I did not have....

Getting on everyday, to run 12 bounties....every...single...day, for a few weeks is pretty lame as well. If this was for, i dont know...a better weapon, then Id be all over it. But its not. Ill stick with Outbreak Perfected as my exotic pulse rifle I suppose.

One of Bungie's favorite thing to do is gouging the shit out of its community. And gouging the shit out of people for a mediocre weapon we already had, no less. Happy Bungie day! Right?

6 RepliesProblem is it won't keep people invested that's why we are saying lower the cost or what have you. Many people won't grind out 20 days worth of bounties each one only granting 1%. It's an artificial grind that has been plaguing this game and it needs to stop.

The hardest part for me to swallow in all of this is how this is a weapon (like many others in the game mind you) that should have been there from day 1. These types of grinds should be reserved for new exotics, not old ones that should have never been taken away in the first place.

"But the bounties are easy" ...not the point. Plus people are wondering off in strikes to do bounties and than quit when finished. Same with Gambit. This system is crap.....the hall is dope tho. Edit: I can see what Shadow keep will be like. I could be wrong, but game is going f2p with paid seasons after(or during) SK. Can't do it.

It's a good system if you don't want to grind for materials. Or don't have the time. However four bounties a day is just not enough. If they allowed you a few more it would be worth it.
