Seriously, why is control in comp?

It isn't fun and doesn't really feel like it should be there. I wanna just fight guardians not play ring around the rosie capturing zones. Edit: *It's totally fine in regular crucible. * It only seems like you're not fighting just racing to stand in a circle and competing to see who can do it the fastest, which in a four man squad, is boring af to me. Nothing says "wow that person has skills" about it to me. *Countdown (which probably should be first to 5 instead of 6 rounds) has you thinking about enemy placement, team communication, makes you feel a sense of urgency when the boom boom is planted and even if you defeat all the enemies you have to be able to defuse it within the time limit. It's fantastic unlike catpure two then it's only hold those zones...

  • Control is great, the maps are not. Meltdown, dead cliffs and distant shore can put you at a severe disadvantage before the first shot is fired just because the spawns are imbalanced... (c spawn on meltdown is arguably the worst. But a case could be made for A spawn on dead cliffs) Legions gulch and burnout are what I call “one engagement maps” they have fair initial spawns, but if you lose the first engagement you go into a perpetual cycle of bad spawns and basically have to play for a spawn flip instead of for Zones (if the enemy team plays the map right) The gametype itself is actually pretty good because it promotes less toxic play (clash can get very campy, and the only thing that breaks up the camp is power ammo which sucks, survival can also be campy)
