The halo ghost is real, but there is nothing "scary" about it. Its just a glitch and some unused code in the game, it spawns a bot (which never was finished, that's why it slides around.) They actually use bots in there Multiplayer Trailers, and Map Pack Trailers, you can notice them in the background shooting randomly.... (I'm sure those bots are finished though and don't slide around)
