Please, no more gambit activities in exotic quest lines.
I don't mind doing other stuff. But Gambit is by far the worst activity I've ever played in a game.
It wouldn't be that bad, but you guys made the enemies way to tank-y. Empty out a clip just to kill one enemy a lot of the times or have to empty, reload, and almost empty again to kill one enemy. So dumb.
Trying to get the new exotic. Should of only taken 1-2 games. I am 5 games in and still can't kill the invader. On my 2nd game, I killed him within 5 seconds with a rocket. It didn't give it to me. Think it gave it to my teammate that was shooting at him from across the map and he some how got the last bullet in as I blew him to shit. So stupid.
Another round, again, I killed him within the first 10 seconds, but as I kill him, he magically got a kill. All other invasions, they got a kill at spawn... My luck has been great with this. Hope it don't take much longer. Cause it will stop me from finishing this quest line. I can't put up with this shit activity.

4 RepliesI personally just don't like PVP. I know they are trying to get people to play these modes but I can't stand it, it's not at all my play style. Any quest steps that involve killing other guardians and I just don't bother because I know I will never get it. I know its controversial but I think if they want to make quest steps that have a PVP step they should have an alternate option for PVE. So those who enjoy or are good at PVP can choose that option and get it quick and those who like PVE can still still get it because there is an option. It sucks because so many of the really good exotics require a PVP step. I get a lot of people think if you don't want to play PVP you don't deserve/shouldn't complain about not having the exotic. Fair enough your opinion so don't trash me for having mine.

Yeah gambit us disgusting. It's the most glaring example of Bungie's ineptness. They left it to rot and never balanced invaders.

3 RepliesAgreed gambit is terrible. I've just started deleting any quest with gambit in it, dont care what it is just not worth it and I'm fine with that. It's just a game and there's no point in frustrating yourself over some dumb gun or item.

5 RepliesAgreed. Pvp and gambit should never be involved in quests other than complete this or that. Not kill within 10 seconds. I usually can't even find the invader in 10 seconds. Oh and gambit sucks

2 RepliesNothing like being out in a competition but then having your loadout dictated or given specific goals that are a deviation from, you know.... competing. Individual objectives and competing, especially on a team, are in fundamental opposition of one another. It makes no sense to combine them. Competitive activities should exist solely for the sake of competition. If not enough people play it for the fundamental aspect of what it is, then the validity of the activity needs to be questioned.

3 RepliesI understand. I *clearly* killed two invaders and never got credit for either of them. That, or killing them with a super doesn't count, but others have gotten credit so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. That was the first goal of doing this because I *knew* beforehand it was going to be the worst part. That's an understatement. Played a good 7-8 gambits over about three hours. This quest is toxic waste. Progress on the actual number of handgun kills has hit a brick wall because I always get matched against other teams that are using hand cannons. I lost count how many times that happened during my gambit run. Can't even say it was a team effort on the other side because they were not in the same clan. This quest may be the final nail for me when it comes to Destiny 2. It's at a point where I genuinely ask myself do I really want to subject myself continually to this kind of Bungie ineptitude?

2 RepliesI hate Gambit and not really a fan of PvP, but they are not that bad if you just go in to do a quest or obtain something. Ace of Spades and The Last Word where not too bad. Just don't take them too seriously. My problem is these quest lines that require you to have a fire team or someone else with you. Not all of us are kids with a lengthy friends list and nothing to do all day. Not to mention I'm an English speaker in Asia and good luck.

14 RepliesI hate PvP and all these exotics have some for of PvP aspect. Im still trying to finish Ace of Spades and I am horrible at hand cannons, but seriously 25 precision kills with a hand cannon in the crucible... really! I know people will say get good but players should not be forced to do activities they do not like.

5 RepliesSave a super, use Izanagi's Burden, use Truth, use Sleeper, use Queenbreaker, use Hammerhead.....don't even play during the Prime Evil damage phase; just wait on an elevated position to kill the invader. It's not that bad.

2 RepliesOr you know...a quest line that is unique to the exotic we are going after? Like Wish-Ender, Whisper, Zero Hour, all those exotics had unique quest lines associated with that exotic. Then we have exotics like the Burden. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE ST, but why are we doing ST for a Black Armory sniper? Thats just ONE of the MANY examples of "exotic quests" that were merely just us grinding out old content. Exotics should be special and exotics tied to quests should send us on ACTUAL quests. Not grinding out old content that is totally irrelevant to earning said gun.

When Bungie removed the Gambit part everyone freak out and soaked their pants about how it’s unfair and how now anyone can get the weapon. It’s funny seeing history repeating itself, and if they do remove the Gambit Invader kill everyone will once again freakout over it

Gambit just plain sucks anymore, no incentive to try and win really, all you have to do is complete matches. Then to include the quest step? Just another shite Bungie tactic to force you to play a mode very little play regularly. Just another reason not to pre-order!!!

1 ReplyI agree there are mechanics that are frustrating but I think the problem is less this and more that gamers need to have the latest overhyped gun right away. Then, complain there is no content. And I love all the YouTubers with the new “king of kinetic” videos also feeding into the hype. If you were to duplicate me so that i go up against myself. Rose vs Service Revolver. Rose is the queen of that battle.
