Team-based punishment is just wrong for those who don't have a team. Thoughts?

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 7/8/2019 5:41:22 AMAn entire Rumble solo Comp playlist would be great Tightly controlled rank system - close eye on matchmaking/SBMM Any manipulators of the solo queue (yes, folk from Fireteams/clans can and do partner up in Rumble) will get account/clan membership/gear/progress deleted slowly & device bricked! 6 players, Only 1-3 place gain points (1st gets the 80, 2nd gets 40, 3rd gets 25) - no points loss for 4th-6th But give it its own style armour, triumph section, shaders & pinnacle weapons/emblems Hit the targets, complete the weekly bounty Fixed weapon loadout week etc (sniper/sword week etc!)

Some suggestions for Competitive rules: 1. Dedicated servers - no lag. 2. Cheat protection system with severe penalties - self explanatory. 3. Specific weapons - everybody should be able to use only one weapon of each type with the same perks /not all weapons with any roll/. 4. No use of supers - the supers are fun but shouldn't have place in competitive gaming. 5. No exotic armors - some items give too much of advantage /one eyed mask is good example/. Those rules should give fair chance to everybody to show their real skill. Not as diverse and interesting as now but still comp. gameplay has never been for fun in any game - it is to show who has the bigger dick. As for the matchmaking system it is beyond repair so i'm not sure how they can fix it.

1 ReplyEdited by ImStillCasual: 7/6/2019 9:23:14 PMIf you’re struggling in the current comp landscape, a lone wolf playlist isn’t going to do a single thing for you. The complaints will only switch from playing against teams to being upset that the “good players” all ended up on the same team while you got the throwaways.. And rumble comp sounds terrible. I’ve played enough rumble matches to know that there are plenty of times where 2nd and 3rd place were just the two players that got destroyed the least, but still went negative. You shouldn’t be rewarded if you posted a .8kda and landed in 2nd.

1 ReplyThere should be a competitive rumble playlist.

I always say I miss Mercenary game mode. It’s not fun to go against 6 stack teams all day.

yes, destiny pvp is a joke

My question is why does Comp have to feel different yet unfair
-
I've been getting tons of solo only matches this season since the game started picking up players. The amount of absurdly low skilled players I've been forced to call teammates and the amount of guardians with attitudes so shitty I'm ashamed to call fellow guardians has skyrocketed. I have lost many embarrassing matches that unfortunately reflect on my stats and skills. I don't have time to form a dedicated group of PvP players and it really is dragging my patience in this season's grind. I need Fabled for Mountaintop. A solo only mode won't fix much of the experience. Especially since rank is required for certain weapons now.

1 ReplyIt would be awesome if there was a competitive rumble
-
1 ReplyCompetitive Rumble top three receive different levels of pts. 4th gets no penalties. 5th and 6th lose pts.

Quick fix. Comp Rumble--chat/party disabled.

7 RepliesNo. It wont stop any of the perceived solo vs stack problems. Quitters and poor players are quitters and poor players whether they are playing against a fireteam or all individuals. I say this from my experience in Comp which isnt but maybe 35 to 40 games, but I estimate over 90% of those have been ALL solos on both teams. I've experienced stack like ass whoopings, people leaving our team, people leaving the other team, etc.

1 Replya simple solution is this: reward and deduct glory based on skill and/or scenerios if a player does very well and wins, they get a good amount of glory, if they get carried and do poorly only a little is earned if a player does well but looses, they wont be as penalized for giving it their all, they will also be penalized less if they get stacked by a team when playing solo in doing this, it creates a safe environment that eliminates paid carries and requires players to do well in matches to succeed

11 RepliesEdited by l09047: 7/5/2019 8:10:41 PMif your friend buys the new shiny thing , there is much higher probability you will buy it because your friend has it, vs if you didnt have any friends and you saw a stranger have it, they are more likely to get more out transactions out of a single customer if that customer is playing with a group of friends vs is a solo. so solo activities in this game are mostly unrewarding and it's by design. They don't care if your happy , or if your having a good time , they are doing what they can to make money from you. Why they help st judes but heart disease is the number one killer of all americans ? why a gay pride pin but nothing said during black history month ? they dont do the right thing , they do a thing that makes money.

2 Repliesuse lfg...

PVP is RNG based game including weapon damage, melee etc. So it doesn’t matter you are playing solo or team.
-
Get a team when you need or want one.
-
Lone Wolf was a DoA playlist in D1 and would be in D2 even if it was competitive.
-
2 RepliesApparently the split of comp and quick play has diluted the player pool to the point solo matchmaking wouldn't be viable. They have mentioned this, but I hold my hand up and say I can't remember where. This is why it worked in D1 but apparently won't in D2.
-
Comp in general needs a complete rework.

Edited by Machine_DNA: 7/5/2019 7:54:23 PMI think 4v4 is designed for players to create teams and communicate. However, I’d like to see a competitive Rumble playlist so if you don’t have a team then you can go there to earn glory. A solo playlist would still have complaints of you getting ‘bad’ team members, people leaving etc. Rumble would all be on you where success or failure is purely on yourself.
-
It can be frustrating. Feel like your glory wouldn’t go down as much it at all, if you have a teammate leave 30 seconds into the start of a match and are forced into a 4v3 and have an immediate disadvantage
-
Some people are talking about rumble comp which would be cool I like the idea of the top 3 getting glory
-
4 Repliesget a team...... that would be the most obvious and quick solution. it is team based. if you want to be at will of matchmaking don't complain about the teams you face. you chose to matchmake and they chose to team up.

Comp rumble...nice.
