I'm running out of Shards and Glimmer way too fast!
Am I the only one?
The increased infusion cost, chests to open, material we need to buy, theres just so much stuff we need now to infuse and level up stuff, its so damn expensive now! BUT WHY?
I went from 1000 shards to under 600 since Opulence dropped and always run out of glimmer and need to buy more from Spider (thanks for killing the glimmer consumable Bungie).
Even my materials get scarce...
The only thing that increases, are my Baryon Boughs!
But I cant keep up with earning as much as I have to spend now!
And I dont infuse every few levels (Dont even try it Bro). I only infused now that I've reached 750. And only a few of my most used stuff I need for the end-game...
Edit: If you downvote this post, youre either Spider himself, or Calus who is the root of all this/his "Opulence"
Edit2: seems like I'm the only one buying raid banners and rune boosters!?
If noone has glimmer and shard issues and noone pops raid banners in the menagerie, no wonders most guys here dont have problems with them. :P

Start up said forge of choice Step 5. Afk overnight Step 6. Profit I suggest using a ghost with the treasure hunter perk and a scanner for the planet you farm at went afk for ~6, maybe 7 hours and got like 600 dusklight shards. It's not the [i] fastest[/i], but it's good to do it you want to watch YouTube or sleep but still get mats.

Just buy glimmer from the spider for 1 legendary shards on the days he sells glimmer for shards. If you are running low on shards then empty out your vault of weapons you can obtain from your collections. You are basically just sitting on legendary shards at that point.

I dipped from 5000 shards down to about 4500 to get my characters to 750 but in the 2 weeks since I'm nearly back to 4700 again. Plus there's 10 more weeks to stockpile again so it doesn't seem that bad.

No. You aren't. ...and its the best argument that Enhancement cores are an unnecessary part of infusion costs.

3 RepliesHow. I've gone up like 1000 shards since opulence. Menagerie gives tones of shards from dismantling rolls. I don't even know how you could possibly run out of shards. Even if you bought exotics of cut every week.

Edited by Jiggyfly: 7/7/2019 12:29:00 PMUse the chest exploit in menagerie and get menagerie weapons. 3 shards for the gun +1 for the shader. That and chances at god roll weapons that you may want. You can pretty consistently get 6-7 weapons per run. That’s a fair amount of shards for 15 minutes worth of effort. Use spider to get glimmer when he’s selling glimmer for shards. I’ve gained like 700 shards since the season started lol

so there I was, at eververse... Looking that smug Tess right in her face. I told her :"HEY, YOU....give me fuel give me fire give me that which i Desire!" She kept telling me about Fenchurch as I bought 2,000 Cayde's dud Shaders. On the other hand, my mate I am game sharing with, lost his interest in the game when random rolls became a thing and barely finished the forsaken campaign before he gave up. That -blam!- has over 7,000 Shards just chilling there and a Vault full of shit he doesn't use. Bungie, please let us gift each other shards for whatever xmas event there is. one player, per account. to another player. SO I CAN GET THOSE FKN SHARDS

Started fresh on PC when opulence launched. I’ve been buying everything Xur sells every week because I need every exotic. Infusing and masterworking regularly, and experimenting with a lot of different builds. I’ve needed 172 shards per week minimum just to buy xurs exotics and engram. I will admit that without the menagerie chest glitch, this bit would of been harder. I’ve bought every exotic every week so far and I’m currently at 600 shards and rising. The only thing I occasionally run out of is glimmer but it’s easy and pretty fast to get more. Not to be insulting but I think it’s just a case of bad resource management on your part.

Menagerie... how can anyone be out of shards lol You have three days left to farm shards. I can’t help with glimmer though I’m having the same problem lol. And that rainmaker consumable is crap lol

No mate, you're not alone. I've been struggling to keep up with that too. Luckily (but not) I've been having enough idle time to pour loads of hours into the game. If I had a life at this very moment, that would be impossible. Btw baryon boughs could be at least exchanged for glimmer. I don't even do their related dailies any longer.

I wish they would give the kill tracker at MW lvl 5, then I'd have more cores

My shards are running low but I have 8k crucible tokens to turn in and get shards from plus the planet tokens.

4 RepliesEdited by O_Town_Racer: 7/8/2019 2:28:42 PMSounds to me like you're doing too much infusing. Your Titan is 750, so he is the only one on which you should be infusing anything. You should not do any infusing on your other 2 guardians until you hit 749 and are getting 750 drops. Just equip the higher level gear you get and wait as the power levels of the drops increase. If you follow this advice you will build up your inventories and be ready to infuse your other guardians by the time they reach 750.

Oh nooooo.... sorry about the sarcasm thats just the person I am. to try and avoid this and get shards back and save glimmer max your chalice then stop opening the chests on the barge. to get shards run the menagerie with a max chalice only placing in 1 rune. the chalice will refund it and you will get a legendary giving you easy farm able shards as long as the cheese is still around. to get glimmer check in with spider every day he has daily bounties that give you 2500 glimmer each.
