I haven’t really heard of any others, so is Lumina the first gun in the “Weapon of Hope” type Guns? Cause it’s made with light instead of darkness.
Edit: damn so many comments they don’t even go in my notification box

2 RepliesWould the swords from destiny 1 count as a weapon of hope then? Don’t remember the exact specifics of the quest but we took some hive material (darkness) and needed to use our light abilities to build it.
-
yeah it is
-
2 RepliesI feel like the "Weapons of Hope" are different from "Weapons of Light", weapons of hope have to be made from "Weapons of Sorrow". No lore to back this up, just my idea.
-
1 ReplyWent straight to the vault, my O/R Range Austringer eats it for breakfast.
-
2 RepliesWhat about the sword used for Dawnbreaker and Well of Radiance?
-
5 RepliesAnd hard light?
-
Yes, it's also technically our Guardians signature weapon. At least that's how I understand if

1 ReplyEdited by Jet: 7/4/2019 7:09:19 PMMore like.....Weapon of Triumph! "Hope" isn't an antonym of "sorrow".
-
6 Replies
Cause it’s made with light instead of darkness.
I kind of assumed all exotics other than the weapons of sorrow were made with light. I don't think Lumina is anything special in that regard.
-
1 ReplyMaybe next is an healing trace rifle ? xD
-
10 RepliesPretty sure it’s weapon of light, not Hope

Edited by Jebus Kreist: 7/4/2019 8:14:31 AMThe first "Weapon of Hope" was Revoker. It made the community collectively hopefuly that Bungie was taking a step away from having people emotionally die in the Competitive Sweatcicle for a slightly-better weapon or god forbid something actually unique that might come in the future.

6 Repliesthe first may have been Gjallarhorn, if you read into it you will find that it was forged out of dead guardians armor, it makes sense too, weapons of light seem to be quite powerful and lumina is quite strong, dont get me started on gjally.
-
I thought we were using ammo!
-
As far as I know there is no real "lore" about "weapons of hope". They are rather called weapon of light. On a side note, even not in game, it is a great idea I will take over.
-
2 RepliesYea garuntee were gonna do the same with nechrocasam
-
We are the true Weapons of Light.
-
I call it the, "Weapon of Not Filling in the Gambit Quest Step Even Though You've Earned the Medal 8 Times"
-
Technically, yes. First weapon of Light? I don’t think so. I think the Last Word May have been the first Weapon of Light since most golden guns now a days seem to take its form. Don’t quote me on that.
-
How cool would it be if we got the chance to “purify” all the other Weapons of Sorrow? Just kinda like we did with Lumina. I feel like that would be awesome.
-
Yup, the very first weapon of light, solidifying the Guardian's place as a legend amongst both humanity and the risen.

6 RepliesI feel like last word might of been the first weapon of hope
-
8 RepliesWeapon of Light actually. Would have known this if you read the lore. That came with the quest.

17 RepliesEdited by CresterOts: 7/3/2019 6:52:48 PMWeapon of Light sounds way better....yes though. Gjallarhorn was technically that too....it lit up so many peoples hopes and dreams....haha
