To all the invaders that hide for the first 10 seconds.
You're scum. Meanwhile I'm over here invading and jumping out and doing the electric boogaloo in front of everyone to give them the quest step.
The fact that bungie tied this into earning a medal that can be 100% denied by just never showing yourself for the first 10 seconds of your invade is insane...doesn't anyone at bungie think about these things?

I got my invasion kill my second gambit match. A player kept invading and coming to our base and would just dance. Really wish I got their GT so I could have thanked them.

one time I invaded and was dancing in plain sight, then the opponent came over an danced with me, guess he had it completed, it was funny

It took one match to complete. And I'm not good.

And here I am thinking it ain't fair for the invader to have wallhack, but when you try to find the invader it's impossible sometimes until you spot him and get killed 0.00000001 seconds after.

You'll get teams who just refuse to invade at all as well. They have to be very good at getting motes and melting the Primeval obviously if they want to win.

My opponents were on the same step, and they’d wave at our invader whenever we’d go in and let them kill us, but they’d be complete assholes and always fight back when they invaded. Only reason I finished it is because I sniped an invader right when they spawned. Like come on, if I’m being nice to you then why be an asshole back?

1 ReplyLol this exactly why I look at the quest steps and reviews of a gun before I bother with the bs. Yes it seems like a pretty cool gun in certain situations but for me I know it would just sit in my vault, I have many other exotics I’d prefer to use. And of course Bungie thinks of this crap it’s by design. The longer it takes you to complete the quest the longer you’re logging in to play. Also having a step that bugs players gets them on their forums and on reddit talking about Destiny and the new gun in the game. It’s all about numbers and publicity.

Yeah games full of dick heads I Played gambit and purposefully invaded and just sat on the bank waiting to get killed. 1 guy kept camping it knowing what I was doing to steal kills from his teammates

Dude...stop using drugs. That's a strategy to throw off the defenders. It works. People do what works especially if you see a defender zipping around looking for you and or everyone grouping up

2 RepliesI got lucky. First game+First Invasion+Truth=Success. Then I invaded to give the opponents the chance, sat down by the Well and nobody took any notice of me and the Invasion timer ran out. Tried again, emoting like a madman - still no joy! Maybe none of them were on the quest and were hiding from me.

Personally once I got my money invader kill I just invaded and jumped into the open and flipped a knife or shot someone to show where I am. Think I lucked out with one game of gambit and a truth rocket to finish mine

I didnt hide. But then I didnt sit down and do screw all either lol. People were sweating those invader kills though, if people played like that more often there'd be less complaints about invaders lol. Truths.... Truths everywhere!

5 RepliesI think you have to shoot someone first, so just invading and emoting isn't doing anything. In fact it might be even worse, since you're blatantly taunting them rather than just playing the game like a normal invader not trying to get killed.

I did it in my first match luckily! Then I played a second match and the enemy team would invade and emote and let my teamates get it done so the rest of the match I invaded and did popcorn emote so they could get there's done! You'll find a lot of this going on now! The thing I hate about bungie doing this is the fact it ruins the game mode for people that like to play it! They should stop adding this type of stuff to different game modes it ruins the fun of all game modes!
