Alright before you grab your pitchforks and torches hear me out on this. I am well aware that a lot of these exotic quests are doable solo. However the reality is that some steps are made with having a fireteam in mind. And if that's the case, then it means doing it by yourself was never intended making it unnecessarily long or hard. Now before you go out of your way to give yourself a pat on the back by saying "bUt iT's EZ i can do it nO proBLem!" I applaud you! Good job! You are above most people. Everyone give this guy a round of applause. I think that any exotics not tied to raids should have alternatives for solo players. Make it easier? No way. Hell make it way more grindy if you choose a solo alternative and a challenge in it's own right, but made with solo players in mind. And if you go with the group method, make it way less grindy but still a challenge. It would promote banding together while giving the option of taking the longer route by doing it solo. Alright, this is the part where I regret making this post and for everyone to flex how good they are at the game while feeding their superiority complex. [u]Quick Edit:[/u] I'd also like to point out that they have had quest steps where there were alternative choices in progressing. I'm not saying to give an entirely different quest for solo players, only give alternative steps where necessary. Don't force group play, and don't force solo play.
