Everyone thinks praedyth is dead because of the paradox mission. But the fact is is that the definition of paradox is " contradictory-yet-interrelated elements that exist simultaneously and persist over time". So the mission the paradox is a scenario if the taken had invaded the vault. So in that scenario you find PRAEDYTHS dead body in the chest room in Gorgons labrynth.
But inside the raid the vault of glass he is still alive in the vex network. If you completed your "no time to explain" you got the cult ghost which unlocked "PRAEDYTHS door " grimoire card which literally tells you he is still alive waiting to be freed and go back and see the traveller.
The simple fact that if you over lap D2 over D1 you will see that CAYDE 6 story line is actually praedyth story line. After we rescued CAYDE 6 FAILSAFE says to you " by the way when I was in the vex network I found another guardian he tells me he's been in there for a decade but I couldn't get him out oh well at least I got you out" she's referring to praedyth because the grimoire card says that he's been in his cell for a decade!
We should have never killed the Templar and Atheon! In the curse of Osiris cinematic trailer we see him in the Templars well trying to figure out a combination code. Then in the whisper of the worm strike you have to shoot VOG oracles as a code to get you exotic blueprint so why did we not think that the 4 waves of oracles where meant to be treated as a code. The fact is is that we always shoot them out of order and every fire team member uses different weapons which inputs the code incorrectly.
Think of the 4 waves of oracles as a challenge mode. 1 runner shoots all the oracles in order with 1 specific weapon. The corrective measure! I personally have shot 22 out of 32 oracles but the problem is we have plateaued and can not get to the 4rth wave. Either bubbles are put in wrong place to aid runner or teammates die.
This is the secret of the VOG that we never completed. We never rescued praedyth from his jail cell so that he can get his revenge on Atheon so that Atheon can turn into the needle and Frey the VOG, which in return create the bridge of glass that reaches the far back left portal at the back of Atheon s cavern which will teleport us to Mercury and meet up with Osiris so that we can pause the Hezen axis mind!
This is my theory and I'm right! I have more evidence. I'm recruiting guardians that will help free a captured guardian in a vex time line that we abandoned. I'm on Xbox and we run this theory every weekend. If you are interested and have the skill to help us you are welcome to help.

3 RepliesHe is also in the lore on the age old bond. In the lore on the weapons from last wish, almost all of the lore is about a guardian figuring out the ahamkara's deception and escaping it. However, the age old bond lore ends with "preadyth wished again and the hunt went on." Not sure when this actually takes place though.
This is my theory and I'm right!
You're literally not. Lmao.

Praedyth was the most interesting character to me when I first started playing Destiny. Praedyth’s Revenge was the first weapon that dropped for me in the Vault. The way Bungie handled his story and “resolution” was disappointing enough, stop trying to get my hopes up. Can you just let Praedyth be dead? Please?

11 RepliesEdited by Vilhelmus II: 7/2/2019 6:15:40 AMLol, everyone knows the glass bridge leads to Xylar, not Osiris. Have you ever even ran the raid, man?

Edited by Shockwave 989: 7/3/2019 8:51:26 AMThe fact that Praedyth’s body is there confirms that he dies inside the Vault. This we cannot change. The Vex merely used his transmissions to manipulate Guardians into purging the Taken Infestation from the Vault. Someone below likened him to Shrodinger’s (?) Cat, a comparison I found ingenious. Praedyth is either alive or dead until his cell is opened, at which point he is observed as being dead. The Vault is a dangerous place, even with Atheon gone.

Cool story. And, I could be wrong, but I think your spinfoil hat is on too tight.

1 ReplySo.. let me get this straight. You want to go back to D1 to rescue him based on the fact that he is still trapped and alive in D2? If we were supposed to rescue him in D1, he wouldn’t still be trapped in D1
-
Meh leave him. He was sloppy and not worth the effort to save him.

That Guardian in the Vex system was Osiris poking around.

4 RepliesBut if you rescue her you will create a time paradox where she is rescued and also still trapped. Stop trying to destroy the universe.

2 RepliesEdited by Zelrons: 7/2/2019 8:33:08 AM1. Failsafe was referring to Osiris. This was one of many hints left in reference to the then upcoming DLC Curse of Osiris. 2. Praedyth is dead. He isn't trapped within the Vex network he is trapped within the Vault of Glass. He is split between multiple points in time. The end point of his timeline is when the door to his cell opens revealing that he's been dead for some time. While locked inside that cell he exists in a superposition that allows him to be in multiple times at once. Open the cell and he's already dead. This is only possible because of the Vault's timey-whimy stuff so he can't be removed from the Vault even if had a way to get him out.
