Ability SPAM

More of a rant than feedback lol but if you're gonna Nerf guns and especially armour because it gives us to many supers I think you should nerf the ads and their CONSTANT ability spam, vandals that can pop bubble sheilds one after another with no cool down, taken captains and the constant blast attack which unfairly passes through walls with no damage drop off, goblins that shield other ads constantly among a hundred other annoyances, we are already out numbered lol why should they get to spam abilities as well! At least apply the same rules of what is possible for us to the ads as well and vice versa, balance, equality for guardians ✌

  • Enemies need to have some kind of ability cooldown. It would add an actual flow to the battle where if youre paying attention and know an enemy used an ability you can take advantage of the opening and fight back. Instead, we get to fight taken, where: - thrall teleport around like chihuahuas on crack, auto dodging bullets - vandals constantly pop completely invulnerable bubbles that they can fire out of -captains teleport AND endlessly throw blinding darknes masses like they stole all the thralls crack and did it all at once - vex TURN EACHOTHER IMMORTAL and you have no option but to sit there and wait for them to stop Thats the state of destinys general enemy design. Wait for a bubble to drop. Wait for it to stop warping. Wait for it to stop being immune. And while you can bypass some of these things by rushing in for melee, this isnt exactly a great justification in a game designed 99 % around ranged gunplay

    • There just needs to be better enemy AI in addition to more than one ability per taken form like killing a high level enemy makes their bullet fodder ads run stuff that adds uniqueness to the enemies

    • The Taken Knight primevals in Prime are more annoying than anything else. If they keep spitting fire, you can't stay in the well of light without dying.

    • lets not forget to mention the AOE shots they keep spamming at you or the snipers that have a fast fire rate

    • I begin to scream my head off in Gambit because of what you wrote. I am sick of the enemy knowing exactly what I am doing, where I am, before I even get there. As you say, we are already out numbered which ads fun to the game, but when the enemy concentrates all its fire power on you, even the snipers in the background, that is over kill x100. If I am off by one fraction of a centimeter because my cat (in real life) jumped into my lap as I am playing this game, 3 snipers from the background have already targeted me and have shot me. I die have have wait to respawn (another thing I hate) as the game completely changes in front of my eyes. Fighting algorithms is hard and fun but when they stack them unfairly against you it makes for real-time headaches and frustration. I rarely play Gambit any more when I use to play it more than all my friends. Sad.

    • Taken Captains are beyond broken. Huge health bar, constant teleport, and last but not least that utterly broken bubble attack spam that not only damages and blinds but also passes through ALL objects to home in on you. Brilliant 😒

                  Yeah good luck with this. The second you mention fixing things in this game be it pvp or pve the entire community goes batshyt crazy and theatens bungie until they ignore the problem. Taken captains have been a problem since D2 launch but bungo wont touch them cause the "elitists" dont want them to. They consider it more challenging to fight an over powered bullet sponge with absolutely no tactics involved in its design/attacks, than to fight an enemy that forces them to use strategy and cunning to beat becuase itll make them feel stupid. I agree with ya bud, but good luck barking up that tree

                  • The only ability the enemy has that I feel should be changed is the damn teleportation moves those captains have. It’s straight up ridiculous and makes me want to die whenever I see a captain boss.

                    In destiny one I remember two taken goblins kept shielding each other like they were in love or something and it was annoying because it was the part of the mission we’re you have to kill all the ads and I couldn’t continue

                    • In Gambit, the Taken captain blockers are almost impossible to take down one on one. I die almost every single time, regardless of what gear I'm using. Lord of Wolves, Rocket launchers, etc. Doesn't matter. He'll just teleport away and shoot me from further away.

                        Dont forget about minotaurs that can just teleport, teleport, teleport, TELEPORT and then smack you and take half your health away. They have no cool down at all. Taken captains do the same, teleport and blink around while having there auto rifle darkness blast. Taken phalanx that can hold their shields up forever, and then just shield blast you as much as they want.. oh and taken thralls that also just blink around constantly until they get behind you. Taken psions that just continue to multiply.

                        • What makes me laugh sometimes is when I’m running towards Vex or Cabal and they’re shooting in the usual steady rhythm but once you run past them their weapons go into a crazy full auto mode like “hey, don’t you ignore me, I’m shooting at you!” It’s annoying as hell but still amusing.
