The amount of times I've hit someone only for it to not do damage is so annoying. Spectral Blades got a hit registration buff why cant Sentinel Shield?
-
94 RepliesTitans do not need any more buffs, they are already overpowered in every way in pvp. They need an overall nerf across all classes. FFS they have 2 melees that can 1 hit melee. How much more handicap do they really need? F the titan class. Only crutches need them in crucible anyways
-
Its so ass in pvp. I'd rather just use a bubble

4 RepliesOne thing that annoys the hell out of me with this super is I can be running around and someone else will use it on the other side of the map and chuck it randomly into the sky and somehow I get hit, even when I see it coming and jump away I still get hit. Yet when I use this super ill chuck it directly at 2-6 enemies in a tight narrow corridor and miss every one of them.

Hit registrations? Spectral Blade? That thing still function like my hunter has epilepsy. He strikes everywhere EXCEPT the target I am going for. But, I guess it detected the hit.... so....
-
Are you kidding me? That shield has a mind of its own!
-
1 ReplyWhat you lack in melee registration is balanced by the absolutely ridiculous tracking and distance of the shield throws
-
2 RepliesBecause you can captain america 4 guardians with 1 shield throw
-
3 RepliesYeah. No. That class is op. Suppressor nades and a tracking frisbee. ALL supers should be neutered. Make this game take some skill.
-
4 RepliesYou cannot beat another roaming super with sentinel shield. Its impossible.
-
1 ReplyI got reported because a titan hit me with his shield 3 times.
I survived
-
I dont get that skill sometimes its the disc of apocalypse and others you could not hit the broads side of the moon with it.
-
4 RepliesAnyone who doesn't think this is a problem either does not use sentinel or thinks this is ok.
-
As a Warlock who got tickled in the back by a Sentinel Shield I support this.
-
And yet you can throw a blind shield that bounces and kills 4 people....deal with the hit registration or give up the tracking shield throw. Pick one lmfao
-
84 RepliesSpec still gas hit registration problems and you have a ranged shield so that would just be unfair
-
3 RepliesIt works as intended. There is nothing wrong with it. I use it all the time for my titan. The only time it doesn't connect is if someone is lagging or you just suck at using it. The hit registration works like it's suppose to.
-
5 RepliesMaybe they can’t fix them in the same manner. Spectral and Sentinel don’t exactly have the same melee. I’m pretty sure they’d have fixed them both at the same time if they could fix them in similar ways.
-
3 RepliesBut you gotta admit, the non tracking “tracking” of shield throw is pretty crazy. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten shielded from a ridiculous angle. And I can’t tell you how many times a shield boi has completely whiffed me too lmao
-
2 RepliesThe first two can be quirky, but the third one has a ton of range. But trust me I've never not been able to kill someone bc of hit registration
-
I've given up on hoping it will be fixed
-
Only real thing I can say is always attack from the air. You just do the one swing then the shield body slam, which is really what gets you 90% of your kills and dps. In both pve and pvp. It has way better tracking, hit detection and damage. Attacking on the ground uses two light attacks first, which wastes super energy on attacks that probably won't hit much in the first place. I've been maining sentinel since D2 launch. It annoys my friends hah.
-
I will say it’s definitely better on pc for some reason. I think its a frames issue
-
So...nerf titans?
-
8 RepliesJust throw the shield. It already has the most B.S. tracking in the game
-
Keep practicing you'll get better eventually 👍

This is a general melee problem but it is more noticable on the shield because it really has no range to its standard hit unlike other melee supers. But it isn't even something that only applies to supers, swords have some bad hit detection as well, even going so far as passing through enemies. And even standard melee attacks can have some very finicky hit detection. It is a consistent issue that has been around for a long time and effects a lot of stuff, and yet it has never really been fixed, and in most cases it really doesn't seem like they have even tried to fix it.
