I think its more down to crossplay as exclusives would not transfer.
I think Bungie stands to make more money by people re buying dlc on different platforms than they would get from the Sony exclusive deal.

*Cross save* but I do hope cross play does become a thing. The issue I had was more of a personal grudge of reasons I had built up: - No more jealously between different player-bases when it comes to content can be made because now all platforms have the same content. - As a community we are no longer divided by a time gap, stopping them from forming opinions on said content that was time-gated. - Most personally, all strikes that had been time-gated turned out to be strikes I loved playing the most. Most notable in Destiny 1 the Dust Palace Strike. Yes I WILL RIP YOUR CAPES OF PSIONS!!! And where as spoiLS Of WAr!! Hahahahahaha.
