Desperado is not useful in PVP because the gun has too much kick. Master of arms would be wild tho.

I’m on my 4/5 resets for valour part of the quests not far now . I’ve heard redrix is in need of a buff . I know I’m late to the party on finishing the quest but it’s a long one and I’d prefer not another quest for a 💩weapon. Buff redrix
-
Been saying buff 340’s or change redrix to 390 and give feeding frenzy to it
-
5 RepliesRedrix and oxygen both need a buff. They’re easily the weakest pinnacle weapons to date.
-
3 RepliesTurn Outlaw into Feeding Frenzy and make it so Desperado activates on Feeding Frenzy reload instead of Outlaw reload. Boom. Also maybe update the weapon so that it shoots a four-round burst like all current aggressive frame pulse rifles.
-
2 RepliesThey should reduce the amount of steps in the quest. 5 valor resets in a single season is a bit too much.
-
BODY SHOT DAMAGE NEEDS TO GO UP TO 23 AT LEAST this way the TTK stays the same And Its by no way OP It doesn't make sense that adaptive and high impact pulses do the same body damage !!!! The impact bar is much longer !!!!!
-
Yeah It needs a slight buff, since those pulses after forsaken(Go Figure, Bygones, Blast furnace) can pretty much 2 tap (6~8 bullets) on people just like Redrix's but with faster firerate. Less recoil with more range would do fine
-
Edited by Erijian: 6/28/2019 9:38:58 PMHigh impact pulse rifles in general need a buff. The issue is figuring how to buff them all into viability without making Broadsword overpowered.
-
Honestly if they just removed the handlebars or whatever those things are that are stuck on the sights. I'd never unequip it.
-
RB could do with a nerf... a size nerf; can't see half my screen aiming that bad boy! That would do it for me... simple things like easier target acquisition makes all the difference! I thought outbreak was going to have the same problem, but the sights are just aesthetically better!
-
I’m happy this gained as much steam as it has. Redrix’s Broadsword has so much potential that is limited by its archetype.
-
How dare you suggest to buff anything thats not a hand cannon, shotgun or rocket launcher? Haven’t you seem how obsessed everyone is about hand cannons? Even bungie is obsessed that the next exotic is yet another hand cannon. Redrix is terrible, the gun literally sucks and only becomes viable when activating its perk which is even harder than people think it is. Everyone here saying oh “just land your crits bruh” or “git gud” are ignorant. Its so much easier to consistently land headshots with hand cannons then it is to land every single shot burst from a pulse rifle. In a game where hand cannons do a ton of flinch to anyone it hits its stupid to even think a player can even land all crits with a pulse rifle. There is only so many perks and mods you can give the redrix to be as viable as possible and even then its not enough. The gun does need a buff, anyone saying otherwise has never used the gun, is obsessed with hand cannons or straight up stupid.
-
They should just add 1 more damage per bullet so that it can always 2 tap and buff it's stability while in desperado slightly. The gun is already amazing. It's not a Luna or NF but if you put in the time to get good with it, it can be a monster.
-
As others have mentioned, it needs either a slight RoF buff, or it needs a slight damage buff. My suggestion, to make it competitive, would be to increase its RoF to 390, even if it sacrifices a tiny bit of damage. This would make it more competitive in its "neutral game", when Desperado isn't proc'd. Right now, I feel like I have to "team-shot" or "kill-steal" just to get the perk to Proc and make the gun finally start doing well. At least on Console. Maybe a different story on PC? Dunno. But a 390 RoF would be a welcome change on both platforms.
-
The fact that it's intrinsic perk is basically what Grasp of Malok was and Hopscotch Pilgrim pre nerf....meh...I knew it was garbage as soon as I fired it. For a pinnacle I did expect more.... considering some of the other nasty pulse rifles we've had in the past. They probably didn't want another Clever Dragon meta🤔
-
I disagree, it's already strong with desperado, you just need to be more precise in landing headshots.
-
Yes it does. It should have max stability and hit a little harder.
-
I really hate the rof.
-
I think it should be a four burst and just add more range. Not any other change, ma ty be it will be good. But I have a handling masterwork with richchett rounds and full bore and honestly it's underrated. TBH it's good but maybe if it had more base range it would be better too. IDK this gun takes a lot of time to use do it DOES need to FEEL good. Remove outlaw with feeding frenzy?
-
mzmerlyn You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

1 ReplyThat's an old gun. Bungie doesn't like to buff old stuff. Otherwise they would revamp escalation protocol. They want you chasing the new toy. Get a sniper rifle they say. It will be fun they say.
-
I'm glad someone else made another post about it. There were three solutions that were set in the past 1. Buff impact so it does more damage 2. Increase RPM 3. Activate Desperado with body shots. 1. If you increase the damage that it might fall more in line and compete with faster guns. Bungie has a nasty way of making all guns do the same damage regardless of RPM. (How can most hand cannons 3 tap in the head but shoot at different speeds?) (This is rhetorical) 2. It's slow and it's outclassed by outbreak bygones chattering bone blast furnace... If you increase the RPM then Desperado loses its effectiveness and unique identity. 3. If you can activate Desperado without a precision kill and instead activate it with all body shots without missing then it should be able to compete with faster guns. It may actually become more powerful than others. At least with this option Desperado maintains its unique identity.
-
tbh I think they just need to give most of the old exotic / pinnacle that can't compete with the current changes a slight tweak.
-
1 ReplyI actually got the Redrix Claymore and the amount of time and effort to get it was ridiculous. Never went for another pinnacle weapon again. The gun sucks btw.
-
29 RepliesI always use my Redrix in QP and Comp. It’s so good, I don’t know what you are talking about. You just need a good and consistent roll, then you will outgun Bygones and other Pulse Rifles.
