Confused about the move to steam.

SO I saw that on September 17th that I am no longer able to play via battlenet, but that all entitlements will be transferred to Steam. I am a little confused by this. Does this mean I need to pay ANOTHER 35$ just to play the next expansion, or do I get a free steam copy due to me owning on Bungie.net? I would like clarification as I don't wanna have to drop ANOTHER 35$ on this just to play a game I bought. -Me

 • The transfer of your existing licenses to Steam is completely free. Read the notes here:
Steam PC Q: Which Destiny 2 purchases and entitlements transfer over from Battle.net to Steam? A: The PC migration from Battle.net to Steam will include a one-time transfer of ALL ownership rights that a player already owns (expansions, Silver, account, Seasons, etc.). Q: Can players pre-order Shadowkeep on Steam right now and migrate their Battle.net account later? A: Yes. Players may purchase Destiny 2: Shadowkeep from Steam’s product page now, and migrate their account at a later date.
If you want to get any DLCs that you don't already own or haven't pre-ordered, like Shadowkeep, you'd still have to buy them regardless of what platform your account is on.

 • All current entitlements will transfer over, however if you wish to play Shadowkeep, you'll need to buy that. If you have already pre-ordered, you're good to go.
