Runes can be time consuming to acquire especially the specific runes players may be looking for, meanwhile the blind well serves no purpose other than completing bounty’s and getting your new subclasses. But for players who would rather participate in the newest content the bind well is pointless to play. What I propose is while a rune finder is active at completion of tier 2 or above the chest should have a Chance of dropping runes. Thus giving old content new purpose as giving players who perhaps don’t want to play crucible or strikes etc.. another way to farm runes.

If it would drop runes, it would be the least effective way to get them. So you'd get 4 as part of running it for your milestones/weekly powerful drops.
-
Is the bind well a new area, sounds similar to the blind well.
-
No. Runes drop all the time. Why drop even more.
-
I really couldn't care less either way. Upgrade your chalice, and you get 2 runes from literally everything. Plus, blind well wouldn't be worth the effort, it's painfully boring.
-
Let dreaming city gear always have a decent chance to drop and the end of tier 3 blind wells and be almost guaranteed at tier 4. Give me some reason to want to do blind well other than just a single bounty.
-
Everyone: we need runes everywhere in destiny Bungie: sorry to rune your day.
-
Any chest opening should have a chance at runes imo. The higher difficulty of the activity chest the rarer the rune probability should be. Eg blind well t1 can only drop purple/red, t2 green and t3/4 blue.
-
I agree, but they should also drop from the Reckoning!
-
Agreed, but does anyone know if the Wealth of the Emperor is of any use after a Perfected Chalice?
-
Sure, but then so should a number of other things. Really managerie should actually drop runes standardly, it seems very odd to me that it doesn't since that is the one activity they are actually for. Other than that I would probably increase the number dropped from strikes by 1, that might actually get some people bothering to finish strikes while farming kills rather than just running off to only farm for kills (maybe). Raids should also drop them, at least the leviathan ones, for some reason raids are constantly left out when it comes to getting these types of items, it has never really made sense. The more hardcore parts of PvP get these things as rewards, so why does the more end game part of PvE never seem to get them? Unfortunately for blind well, even if they had runes, it likely wouldn't not get many people in them. PvP would still be a far faster method, and let's face it blind well has nothing else that people really want from it. It is really only used for farming grenade launcher kills, and maybe getting some clan XP. Getting runes from it, is not about to save it. Maybe if the items from it weren't a measly +1, and were actually decent items (like some good guns), then people would want to do it.
-
No. Runes should drop from every menagery encounter you complete within the time and from the boss kill.
-
Sure, why not. But at this point, I've already got more runes than I can ever imagine spending. I'm just not that into the new weapons or armor.
-
Or change the rundefinder buff to apply to public events.
-
TWAB preview: "we heard people complaining runes are dropping into the blind well and there's no way to get them out of it..."
-
...or just run Lake of shadows. In and out in 5 minutes

Never heard of the Bind Well, is that new?
-
People still play Blind well??
-
I agree. If anyone is seriously running low on runes, pop a runefinder buff and head into the Iron Banner. I played a fair amount of Iron Banner, and I now have a lifetime supply of runes.
-
With one of those rune buffs, sure why not? But I’d much rather see them drop updated gear, first.
-
Wheres the don't care option?
-
Cores should drop from it.

COMPLAINERS SHOULD SPELL THEIR TITLE RIGHT
-
Once they patch the end of game clock and prevent people from opening the chest more than once, it won't matter. I already have more runes than I need.
-
I already have Like 50 of each rune from iron banner and strikes, I don't think we need any more sources for them.
