What even are these? I got called a, and I quote, "sweating dad of 5 with no f-ing neck" in messages while using a retold tale and ace of spades the other day. He preceded this by saying I was only using "dad weapons" and honestly I don't even know what this means. Can anyone clarify?
-
lol the fact that he messaged you about your 'dad' weapons would indicate he was upset that said 'dad' weapons had killed him and/or his teammates. take it as a compliment that your skill with your 'dad' weapons bested him and whatever type of 'meta' weapons he thought he was using. lol
-
It means you killed him/her repeatedly, but it's not his/her fault and they're still better than you. Kid logic. I have two son's, so I'm well experienced with it.
-
1 ReplyI just ask some of the clan (who are sweating little kids just to clarify) and apparently all of the strong non pinnacle weapons that can be used to carry are the dad guns, so guns like ace, retold, trust, ageoldbond (any auto really) the duke, you guys get the picture. I've also been told my saint 14 bubble titan with perfect paradox is so dad it's almost get off my lawn grandpa.
-
Dumb kids.

1 ReplyEdited by Zelrons: 6/26/2019 2:53:23 AMIf I had to take a guess I'd say it means they think you're bad. Like someone's dad trying to play. They're probably kids themselves. People just come up with random things to say in hatemail. I was playing Assassin's Creed once and some guy over voice chat called me a n*****. I was blown away by the blatant and completely baseless racism.

So glad I’ve disabled messages from strangers 😹
-
2 RepliesHaha that's gold. What a crack up burn "sweating dad of 5 with no f-ing neck" Whats the no neck reference about as well? They probably felt like they got spanked by you and your weapons so there for it brought up their recent memories of getting spanked by their dad. There are dads who kick ass and take names and then there are the kids who cry about it. Being the dad is probably the better of the two.
-
"Dad weapons" are pulse rifles. That guy is an idiot.
-
It's honestly strange. I got called that for suggesting characters need to do more than be vending machines, and have them simply be friendly AI. Given the context I guess that means I want help with content from AI? I mean it would be nice, but it was more the experiential aspect it would lend to missions and whatnot that I was after. Oh and the people saying it are probably average at best anyway.
-
Had a kid message me and say he hoped my grandma would die from fall damage 😂 Wiped the floor with him and his whole clan.
-
They will always complain, I got hate mail the other day from a stat farmer with a 3.5 k/d cause I kept sniping him, he told me to stop crutching on a sniper which baffled the hell outta me cause I'm not even that good with and rarely use snipers and snipers take skill to use and said run up like a "real man" lol he was using a shotgun and a last word like yea ok I'm bout to just run up on you bro
-
So if crutch weapons are dad guns, what are kid guns? Guns like not forgotten or mountain top that take days of play time to get 1 gun?
-
I'm not sure what "dad" guns are. I would probably get hate mail for my Service Revolver (Kill Clip really does 3 tap, and it's got some serious range) if I allowed randumbs to send me messages. I'm usually in the game with one goal in mind, and it isnt to listen to little kids whine about getting beat.
-
"sweating dad of 5 with no f-ing neck"
The things people come up with.
-
It's just the latest tween word fad. Kids get twitchy when they get beat.
-
6 RepliesFather of 3 here. I currently have a neck. I have been using a MIDA, Main Ingredient, and HMG. I'm not very good but I don't care. I would LoL at any salt messages. Kids are silly.
-
One of my clan mates got a similar message while we were in a 6 stack. Said “enough dad stacking. Back to work.” Our average age was like 27.
-
3 RepliesI wouldnt consider ace and retold tale to really be dad weapons though. Most people that use that term think of dad weapons as lord of wolves, jotunn, and any pulse rifle.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Bieltan: 6/25/2019 5:24:41 PMIf he was using Dust Rock, Lunas/NF, Service Revolver, Blast Furnace, Outbreak, Erentil, Jotunn, Wizened Rebuke, Recluse, Beloved... well you get the picture, anything thats meta right now (which is actually quite a lot of guns tbh) then he was a dirty hypocrite lol
-
4 RepliesEdited by Mister Wrecked: 6/24/2019 4:46:20 PMIt means low skill weapons. As in you're a dad who has no time to invest into the game so you use low skill weapons for easier kills in PVP. Secretly it means that whoever you killed was triggered about being killed over and over, either because their lack of skill or because of other failings. "Dad Weapons" is simply a pejorative they use to temper their own insecurity by making an excuse for why they got killed.
-
"sweating dad of 5 with no f-ing neck"
Idk why, but I find this insult so fucking funny.
-
2 Repliesthe exotic Dad weapons. everytime you get a kill it automatically types a dad joke in chat
-
1 ReplyJust tell them their mom didnt mind last night when you used your exotic skin sword on her the other night.
-
Its the flavor of the week for child gamers since the streamers have all latched onto the term "lord of dads" or "dad of wolves" as if most gamers now aren't an average age of 35.
-
Tell them you like it when they call you daddy?
-
I hope you told him to go to his room or no videogames for a week.
