So I was reading the black Armory papers. (Spoilers)
First off I'm missing the last 3 pages right now I'll get them soon but.. God dam.. What a disastrous back story. I take it the Exo is Ada-1 and her mother mother put her in. I'm just wondering who or what was the red drone thing and its master?

[spoiler]Yuki… is dead. It didn't happen like I thought it would.
One of the men who had attacked us returned. This time with an offer. He wanted the Exo. He had seen what she was capable of back at the truck. How she turned our weapons into something even more deadly with nothing but her hands.
The Exo stood, willing to sacrifice herself for us.
I was horrified, but before I could say anything, Yuki lied and said she had the Obsidian Accelerator. That it was in her backpack.
The man approached her cautiously as she quickly looked at me. That one last look. The same one that had calmed me down so many times. She reached for the backpack as the man drew near.
The Exo grabbed me and gave me cover as the grenade exploded, shielding me from the flaming shrapnel. Then she helped me up and we ran. I looked back once.
The man's red drone was shining its terrible light about the carnage looking for its master.
He'll get up again. He knows what she can do.
He will be looking for us.
Yuki… I'm so sorry.

1 ReplyEdited by Industrial-Grade Catgirl: 6/25/2019 7:26:42 PMit was probably just some random risen and his ghost :/ there have probably been hundreds of ghosts who had or still have red shells, its nothing new or special. the possibility of it being drifter is pretty slim to none, as Archival pointed down below drifter and his ghost hadnt unlocked the red setting until after or during the red war and (if we hypothesize from evidence) his ghosts shell is not red but green with a jade core (look at gambit-related shell). honestly, it'd be a cool tie-in but its probably just some random who wanted cool stuff EDIT: fixed spelling

2 RepliesI haven't read the lore, but I'm guessing the red drone is his ghost since he took a grenade at point blank range & they still ran away.

Yep. As Drifter, Mara, the Nine, and Calus have tried to warn us the Traveller isn't all it seems. What the Traveller does isn't done for our well being but for its own survival. Newly resurrected Lightbearers have no memories, yet still possess their convictions they held in life. Their left with their Ghost as their guide but what if that Ghost was evil? Their have been numerous evil Lightbearers and Ghosts that didn't just simply refuse to keep bringing them back, so Ghosts too must be capable of evil deeds. Ada-1s family where butchered shortly after the golden age ended by Lightbearers who saw their technology and wanted it for themselves. It was Drifter who said he once knew a Ghost who'd kill you for a blue-engram, stories like this make his more credible not to mention he himself and those who work for him aren't "good" though I guess their not quite evil either.
