We should be able to repeat raids multiple times a week to get loot

I love raiding is Destiny 2, hands down my favorite part of the game, however, there is no point in doing something like CoS or Last Wish twice in one week on the same character except for completing challenges and triumphs. I would like to be able to repeat a raid over and over multiple times a week to grind for a certain weapon or armor piece. I think the first completion should give powerful gear, then the second, third, and all future runs in the week should just give regular legendary level gear but still be raid loot. I find myself bored within a couple days after reset since I have completed the raids and have to wait about 5 days for the next reset so I can grind again for the gear I want. Menagerie I think was crafted very nicely. You can keep slotting chalice runes and keep getting gear, I wish raids would allow you to get more gear. I think people would enjoy this and the game would give more incentive to keep raiding other than the three completions per raid per account.   • 1. Powerful drops, Curated Rolls, Raid mods and the Raid Exotic should be weekly 2. Cosmetics and non-powerful drops should be able to be grinded for to your heart's content 3. If possible I'd like to see Raid tokens and a "Raid gear" vendor re-introduced for those who have atrocious RNG; tokens would follow the weekly lockout

    • I don't play raids at all but don't let that distract you from the fact that Taniks has no House. He kneels before no Banner. Owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since Wolves broke their chains, yes? Now Taniks works for Wolf pack. But not for long...

    • One note I would make is that when you sherpa new players, the exotic drop rate should be higher for yourself for being a decent human being. I personally think a 'rate a guardian' system should be introduced so really patient mentor guardians can easily be scouted out. These types should get a perk of higher drop rates for it.

      • I say we should be able to keep repeating it for more armor. The only thing that should be excluded is powerful rewards, curated rolls and the exotics. Maybe also exclude the possibility of getting armor with the enhanced perks(enhanced heavy lifting etc.)

        • I'm down for non-powerful rewards. That said I wouldn't want curated rolls or exotics to being the loot pool after the first run per character. Raids are the PVE end game. If you make the "best" loot farmable you kill the longevity of the activity.

        • Dcuo has a system like this. They also have a pay to unlock system implemented. The raids drop gear on a weekly and also monthly cycle. So no I disagree with this system.

          • The Anarchy took about 43 tries for me and the helmet on my hunter in King’s Fall took me at least that many. I don’t mind doing a raid that many times to get something but I do mind the 3 tries a week I’m allowed so I’m on board with your post. After 3 or 4 months of trying for something I’m ready to uninstall the game. I always come back after the breaks though.

          • I can actually get on board for this. Say you wanted a cook armor look, like those sweet hunter boots from CoS, in this way you could get NON powerful loot drops and still feel rewarded. Heck, you could make them drop at 10 light lol

            As an avid raider, yes, you should be able to earn stuff after your characters first weekly completion. The is literally NO REWARD for doing it multiple times on a character. Every single aspect of the game rewards you for your time (be it great or small) EXCEPT raids. You have people willing to sherpa noobs through a raid and they don't have the raid exotic and boom noob gets it before the raider who has walked multiple people though it for weeks... Awesome... Real rewarding.

            • I think raid gear should be weekly, but cosmetics like ships, sparrows, and ghost shells (maybe even the raid exotics) should have a chance of dropping regardless of how many times you’ve done it that week

              • My feeling is you should be able to grind for cosmetics. It took me 37 runs to get 1k voices, 47 for sparrow 57 for ship and 68 for the ghost shell. What I hate seeing is people who never raid get the exotics first run and never raid again. And people like me who raid every week takes months to get it. I'm on 36 runs currently on sotp and still no anarchy.

              • I’d support this under a few conditions: 1. No powerful gear on subsequent runs 2. No curated weapons can drop 3. No raid exotics can drop (including Scourge sparrow) If these are implemented, then go for it

                • I can complete strikes, menagerie, reckoning, gambit, crucible, and nearly every other activity in this game multiple times a week and get rewards. I see zero reason why I shouldn’t be able to do the same for what is arguably the most difficult content in the game.

                • No thanks, I think raids should always be those 1/week/character activities. Really would devalue the prestige of doing raids if raiders had everything by the end of the week. Raids are supposed to be [b]the[/b] endgame content with the drops being rare.

                  • This is a good idea but you should only do it only so many times or it would just ruin going back week to week. Because why go back every week when you could do it whenever?

                      • I would say this: first clear of the week guarantees drops, and guarantees powerful gear. However, any clears afterwards require a key to open the chest. I’m looking at old D1 Skeleton Keys, but for Raid chests. Consumables that drop rarely upon completing playlist activities that you consume to open the chest. Just being able to do it over and over and over would be lame. You can do scourge in 25 minutes without breaking a sweat, that’s four drops in 25 minutes. You’d get everything you ever wanted in a week and never step foot back in.

                      • I’m not concerned about power since there’s many avenues and I’m already max. Right now I just want the armor and curated weapons from the raid. Been a pretty bad week with duplicate armor
