Why anyone would have a problem with this is beyond me.
Similar to Raid Match Making that doesn't effect you in any way, shape or form, yet that still doesn't stop people from chiming in about something that has ZERO to do with them...

6 RepliesI have resigned myself to the fact that there will always be pride month (I'd rather it be a day instead of a month). I have come to terms with it, however, this should be like every other holiday. Yes, you can celebrate, but don't shove it down the throats of those who don't want any part of it. I just wish companies wouldn't go political in general (yes, it's a issue that many file under political). I hate it when public figures and companies go political about anything, including stuff I agree with. It's pointless and rather annoying. If Chick-Fil-A was being discriminated against for donations to Christian charities, Bungie and literally every other company should be discriminated against just the same.

2 RepliesI didn't even know there was a pin until I saw the numerous threads crying over it.
-
I don't understand why people are so surprised by the pride pin, it's almost as if they don't know that bungie is in Washington
-
6 RepliesAll the people crying about the pin are just jealous the pin in the store is larger than the one in their pants!

3 RepliesEdited by Biscuits: 6/24/2019 6:55:12 AMI don't know why it's a problem. People think it's a political statement but those are the people that watch too much CNN or Fox News. I have gay friends who are conservative, and ones who are extremely liberal. Gay is not a political stance. I like to think that most people don't really have a problem with it--instead their actual issue is with the current state of a lot of the country, specifically that everyone trades in victimhood and minority status are social currency. (ie: the more flamboyantly you tout your race / orientation / oppression / whatever, the more valid and important you and your opinion are over the 'normies') It's dumb, it's annoying, but it will all collapse in on itself in spectacular fashion within a decade or so. But take heart, I doubt there are very many at all who are actually angry at the LGBTQ community over a pin being sold-- the issue is most likely a deeper one and it's just projection of frustration. That, and everyone wants to be noticed and have pride in who they are. I surmise that a group of the more insecure straight people you see on main forum getting thread locks are tired of not feeling special and also require recognition to validate themselves. Nothing wrong with that, I suppose ... everyone deserves to feel validated and good with who they are as a person, and everyone wants to feel equally valued. I know the popular response is the 'other 11 months are straight pride' but let's be real for a minute, there is no such thing as being proud to be straight or white any day of the year, according to popular media. It's the worst thing you can be in American culture these days, because it means your opinions are the least valuable and you have the poorest amount of victim currency to cash in. That is why you're seeing these threads -- some people clearly need equal attention to feel valuable. Hope that at least provoked some thought and conversation amongst you, Guardians. Be well :)

10 RepliesIt seems the majority of people that have issues with the LGBT Pride pin is that it is the only sexuality represented. To be fair, Bungie's so-called Diversity Team should also have a Straight Pride pin. But you know how it is, diversity only includes a select few nowadays.

Google "right wing authoritarianism". The personality type/psychology. Not political ideology. You'll find your answers there. Its a manifestation of authoritarian aggression in some.....conventionalism in others.

17 RepliesEdited by The Orwell: 6/24/2019 3:43:26 AMI don't support the gay lifestyle therefore I will not buy the pin, but I respect the choices and the free will of those people. They deserve to be treated kindly, just like anyone else.

2 RepliesJust read the TWAB. Bungie actually went there LOL

Edited by Kaishi Ritsu: 6/24/2019 5:55:26 AMWhere’s my pin for being -blam!-? That was suppose to say Re-ta-rd-ed but apparently that’s a no no word which is stupid.

1 ReplyI am of the viewpoint that people can do whatever the hell they want and I couldn't care less. I guess some people are too insecure to let other people do what they want. Not really sure though

2 RepliesI agree

7 Replies... People can have opinions on whatever they want, and can "chime in" on anything they want (at least in America) I don't see why you're crying about them crying about something that has nothing to do with them...
not included in the DLC
8 RepliesIdk, man, people like to claim oppression points that aren't really there. And this is talking within every group, I know some of the LGBT+ are just as bad with that.
