Doing the Iron Bullshlt quest with a Hunter. What is so unbelievably obvious is that Hunter Grenades are absolutely trash.
Edit: I have completed the Grenade kills part of the quest but it was brutal. Ran Frost-EE5 boosts, weakened enemy then threw ArcBolt grenade.
I hope someone at Bungie takes note of the stats on how long certain classes took to complete this quest and does some adjustments.

2 RepliesArc bolt, spike, and incendiary are all top notch for their elements

I agree, I finished the quest step as well but it was a nightmare that took way too many games just to complete grenades. I used thorn to wear the enemy down and then used skips with shinobu’s vow. I tested some and on a full health enemy one skip was maybe taking a third of the shield down. Maybe it was just my own frustration but I felt like I was almost instantly melted by some of the other class grenades.

4 RepliesI do agree that the quest was probably very brutal on hunter and that the quest should have taken that into account, I don’t however think that this should lead to any kind of buff to hunter grenades. Some classes are better for certain things. Hunter has the best movement in the game especially paired with a shotgun, Titans have some crazy ways to make their melees insane and they have pretty powerful supers, and Warlocks have strong grenades and ability synergy.

2 RepliesI am still waiting for unicorn grenades to come back. If not that, then remove the blinking lights from the trip mines. They are supposed to be “surprise traps”.
As opposed to EA’s surprise mechanics 😉
11 RepliesHunters have the best grenades, that part was painful for EVERYONE. Titans get pulse and lightning, both of which are just all around awful since they got nerfed in D2. Warlocks at least have handheld novas. Hunters get bolts, skips, and fusions... all of which are the easiest to deal damage with

1 ReplyAll grenades except the warlock supernova are pretty bad tbh
-
ALL grenades are awful (minus suppression grenades) for PvP.
-
That’s every Grenade in the game. They do a terrible job of discouraging people from grouping up
-
25 RepliesHunters are OP in every other department
-
Yeah, the iron banana quest suck when u are a hunter!
-
Grenades are trash in this game across the board. Without an an exotic to pump them up, they are nothing more than distractions for the enemy. Just something to make them move out of position. I just don't understand Bungie. They went out of their way to water down grenades and melee attacks in D2 PvP, only to make quests that require a whole bunch of them. Does this make any sense?
-
Hunter’s grenade are fine. The only grenade I can complain is flux grenade that is useless.... But in my opinion what need a buff is throwing knife that in my opinion should deal a bit more damage
-
I haven’t progressed much with this quest on my Hunter. I pretty much used Blade Barrage for the super lulls portion. I’m going to switch to the Arcstrider with skips and see how that goes. Having Shinobu’s Vow should help if I weaken the other players first.
-
I remember the good old D1 days where dropping an incendiary grenade at someone's feet was a kill after like 4 seconds of burn time
-
I just want to create unicorns with trip mines again... 😢
-
I think you messed up your title... I think you meant to say, "All grenades are awful"
-
5 RepliesHunter grenades are not garbage. They are amazing for zoning. The quest forcing you to use them in a way they are not meant to be used them is garbage though.
-
3 RepliesSkip nades with shinobu's vow Arcbolt with lucky raspberry Trip mine with young Arhamkara spine If you plan to do this step WITHOUT exotic help, no wonder you complained. Weaken your target first, then nade Also, if ANY of your teammates get a nade kill it will count for the quest, so calm your itty bitty lil titties down
-
Try that void branch that has grenades and smoke last longer it could help but yeah hunter nades are awful.
-
5 RepliesYou have tracking grenades. Mean while every single titan grenade requires that the opponent not be a complete idiot and not move at all.
-
22 RepliesI'd say their grenades are better than the titans are for finishing off weak targets since a few of them track. Try getting kills with stickies or the bouncing grenades in a light level disadvantage. Yikes. Even pulse grenade took like 4 ticks so I had to rely on lightning grenades which are really annoying to use because most maps are so weirdly disjointed so that placing grenades is always a pain in the ass. I'd take skip grenades in light level advantage over trying to get kills with flashbang *shiver* it's not good.

5 RepliesEdited by Jericho_Wolf99: 6/24/2019 4:15:52 AMFYI. I agree with you. Heres the formula for getting grenade kills. 1. don't complain. 2. Weaken your enemy first then grenade them. This worked for me. It took some time but I got it done.
