All Supers should be like the Ward of Dawn skill tree
Imagine if all supers had a second ability, like Dawnblade could be converted into Destinys 1 spam grenade ability, or a massive flashbang that blinded and set enemys on fire who were in your FoV. Arcstriders could throw the javelin and create an AoE around it. Sun breakers could concert theirs into strong overshields for their team. Possibilities are endless
Edit: Was not expecting this kind of response, we're on trending! Also for clarification I'm not talking about what we got in Forsaken, I mean how you could hold down the button and have a defensive ability like converting your hammers into a massive sunspot that decreased incoming damage while adding a DoT affect to things you hit.

Just a few ideas: Hunter Exotics: Arc staff becomes electric valkrie that throws the staff Bottom tree void bow is first person allowing for 5 shots, greatly increased projectile speed, and debuff capabilities. Gunslinger summons dual wielding golden guns with increased duration and armor but decreased accuracy Warlock: Activating well of radiance from a significant height of causes a wave of flames to pulse upon impact with the ground Chaos reach is shot from both hands in a spinning circular motion, not unlike reaper in overwatch or Hades in KH. Void walker gets 5 void orbs to float above their head. Each orb can be fired and does significant damage or all 5 can be fired at once, nuking a target. No armor in PvP. I'm really just channelling my inner Zenyatta here. Titan: Sentinel shield fires a continuous laser not unlike chaos reach. Hammer is transformed into a single supercharged hammer that actively seeks targets and ricochet's from target to target like Thor's hammer. Diminishing damage for each subsequent target hit. Way of the missile does arc damage directly below the path you take to your target, killing ads the whole way and doing increased target damage and damage radius for each casualty

Would love that option with Well on Warlocks. The option to either drop a well or use Swords depending on need at the time.

1 ReplyPersonally I think they could acomplish a simillar effect with Armor Catalysts. For example.. the Helm of Saint 14 right now blinds enemies that go inside. What if you could get a catalyst for it... say to absorb 10,000 damage and it gave you the perk of weapons of light (from d1) or you know whatever other buff you can think of. Or say shards of galanor, after 100 blade barrage kills the new catalyst sends out a 360 degree flurry of blades around you, instead of just infront of you where you aim. I dont know, you could think of millions of possibilities, i think catalysts on exotic armor would be a cool way to do it.

Each skill tree (which in D2 terms is just a singular perk), should've had a unique Super, honestly. Like Dawnblade should have Daybreak, Self Res/Nade Spam and Well of Radiance.
