It’s really frustrating when you loose a match because your team either lags out or quits. These unfair losses deteriorating your glory rank is very frustrating.
Please add glory rank forgiveness on matches where your team isn’t full.

Theres no way that bungie can make a perfect matchmaking algorithm or fail safe option in the game that wouldn't be exploited. They should just remove point loss completely unless you quit matches.
-
Nah. Then people would leave with no penalty
-
You could always have the glory scale with how many players are in at one time. If a person bails they get the full hit of glory loss, plus suspensions or bans, while the rest will get lesser glory losses and or gains due to the imbalance of the match.

12 RepliesHow about rewarding indivual performance REGARDLESS of win/loss. Win/loss should be extra points, but there should be points rewarded to people who play the objectives and stick it out. That being said, how about making a good matchmaking system and a solo friendly playlist for comp?
-
2 RepliesRank lock (guardian, Brave, Heroric, Fable, Mythic, Legend) sub rank loss (guardian I,II,III ect.) and keeping the same Win/Loss system they have now I'm telling that'd be perfect and alot more people would be in it give more diverse matches.
-
I could see some assholes booting teammates offline just to save their glory from a loss
-
3 RepliesMany people have said for it to be fixed but nothing happens. Easy fix for it you don't lose glory for losing a match and you don't gain glory from losing a match either. THIS FIXES THE DAMN PROBLEM.
-
2 RepliesAm I the only one that could see this ruining comp because of alt accounts that could queue in with their mains and then leave at the beginning and give his/her team a glory cushion if they lose. I understand that a 3v4 would be tough but this could promote a really toxic team ethic in comp especially duo queueing with an alt account that's just gonna leave at the start.
-
How will that idea end? Losing? DDoS your teammates, Profit...
-
4 RepliesIt should be like Overwatch. If they leave, so can the rest of the team. The three others shouldn’t have to stay the whole match and get dog walked for 10 minutes. Also, the rest of the team shouldn’t have any leaver’s penalty either.
-
6 RepliesHot take: You shouldn’t lose glory in comp, you should just receive none for losses.
-
Glory points need to work like how Gambit works once you in the legend rank idkw bungie won't make this a thing it'll get more ppl playing and ppl wouldn't leave so much.
-
The way you prhase this just wouldnt work at all, ever, it would be abused and would ruin comp, and this has been stated since the dawn of time, your idea is not new. They should treat comp games just like nearly every other competitive game in the world which share simillar systems. Take dota 2 for example: Every match is scored and points awarded/removed unless one of these things occur: - The game starts without the required number of people - Someone abandons the game (fully leaves) BEFORE first blood or anytime previous (hero select etc) - Someone disconects (hasn't fully left) but DOESN'T come back within the 5 minute window. This only occurs if the player has disconnected BEFORE first blood, however if first blood occurs between the discconect and the 5 minute window elapses the game is still not scored if the player does not return. Anything else is completely fair game, your team trolls? Afks after first blood? Feeds? Leaves after first blood? Nothing you can do about it. This is the fairest system which cannot lead to abuse and its all down to the players.

Edited by puppyk1sses: 6/23/2019 11:43:35 PMSo your teammates could alternate leaving matches when you’re losing and don’t lose glory? Because that’s what would happen. There’s no way for the game to know the difference from an accidental disconnect vs a forced disconnect either, so even if you instituted a very harsh quitter penalty, ppl would just pull their internet cables to force disconnect
-
12 RepliesThis can be exploited easily tho
-
Unfortunately, a system like that could be abused. A team of three could load in and then DDOS the fourth player. Ensuring they never lose a glory streak. And it would provide more cover for them as well. Not having to take out enemies with DDOS would make them harder to track and ban.

1 ReplyI cannot judge celestial astral developer creatures that dwell somewhere in cauper asteroid ring`s deep orbit with mindful godly decisions like implementing ridiculous rating system that ment to punish tiny solo earthlings like me. I would`nt mind to suffer even on my own, alone in competitve playlist if only the pinnacle weapon quests was made like last one with the sniper rifle REVOKER. IT was long run for me but i was`nt felt punished for someone left match, all team was pure liability and i was doing the whole game and draging them to victory or either way was on the bottom totally exhausted. This is strictly solo player competitive expirience perspective, revoker was kinda solo friendly imo, if only other pinnacles (i think i`am so special kinda weapons) was like REVOKER quest, many would`nt mind go even for 5500 glory. Maybe solo que comp players deserve this kind of glory gaining system for pinnacle weapons? Not being punished for playing the game.

1 ReplyBungie can't do that because it would make sense and be beneficial.
-
loose
-
Or ranked ffa of some form. Seriously SOMETHING needs to be done for solo players.
-
Removing extra penalties such as suspensions for leaving when your team is not full seems to be the best they can do.
-
11 RepliesThe only problem would be that people would abuse it. Losing a match?, just have a fireteam member leave so no one loses glory. I think the penalty for loss should be reduced a little. It's tough for solo players to rank up, but then again it is a competitive game mode.

Easily exploitable..
-
wouldnt an easy fix to fireteams cheesing it would be to punish the players in the fireteam?
-
1 ReplyLol when I read the title I thought it meant like if a random on your team leaves and you think it was justified then instead of reporting them you would forgive them and so they wouldn't lose any glory/get banned. That might be dumb idk
