This is completely made up. I have no information indicating something like this is on the horizon or even possible. Now that we got that out of the way.....
What if we had an encounter during a Scorn raid where we fought a giant screeb? BuT AuRA, SCreEbs ExPloadED WheN We SHoOt THeM.
Exactly. What if we actually had to keep it alive instead of killing it? If it dies, it explodes and wipes the team. I'd imagine a giant screeb wouldn't be the most nimble/agile of enemies. Picture a pretty big space where we have to run from attacks and prevent some other enemy race from destroying the screeb in order for us to clear it. It'd be neat. At least, I think it'd be neat. Anything would be better than giant thunder hands.

Yeah, this sounds as fun as my d1 wish to get a boss room full of servitors shielding each other. Sadly I got my wish however, with the first few missions in d2 to get your subclass °_° F that mission

1 ReplyWell that sounds horrifying

I'd would assume the name of the Boss would be boombini.
Since Screebs are surprises to people. 🎉
1 ReplyRaid Name: Bloodline Goal: You have discovered that the Fanatic gains his abilities through a combination of a horrid Wish to a dying Ahamkara and the hive magic of the mindbinder. Enter his realm and end him for good Encounter 2 (Boss fight 1): Kessik, the Disgraced.) You drop in to a large underground cavern the ceiling is illuminated in a hazy blue color the room is ovular with 3 scorn sync plates (similar to the ones in hallowed lair) on the left, right, and back of the room. The middle of the room drops down into a giant pit. In the pit is a yellow health chieftain named “Pit Handler.” Killing this chieftain starts the encounter. Upon starting the encounter the ceiling shifts and it turns out the blue glow was from those pustules on screens. Legs fold out and Kessik drops into the pit, scorn will flood out through the arena and you will have to fight ads among these ads are 3 pit handlers near each plate. Killing the handler gives the person who killed it a buff called “Acidic shielding” after killing all 3 handlers Kessik will rear up and a pustule will burst covering the arena in screeb acid. The 3 players without acidic shielding will get a debuff called “tainted blood” that has a timer of 45 seconds. After 45 seconds the players with tainted blood will die. So you split into three teams of two. One with the buff and one with the debuff in each team. Each team takes one plate and the person with the acidic shielding buff stands on it. Kessik will splash the plates in a random order. Once all three have been splashed an enemy will spawn in the corner of the room with no plate called a “Scorn Brewer.” Killing him drops a pool that cleanses the tainted blood debuff. I hope you were paying attention because the three freshly cleansed players have to stand on each plate in the reverse order of how Kessik splashed them. Once you do that it’s damage phase. Move to the last plate and you’ll get a dome over it that provides immunity from Kessik. Three pustules will glow in the same pattern as the plates and you have to DPS them in the order that you stood on the plates. Doing this will subtract 1/3 of Kessik’s health. Rinse and repeat until done. Upon reaching critical health you must have each team rush to activate plates. Doing the plates in the order you DPS’d will create domes shielding you from Kessiks detonation. After this you will have completed the encounter.

Hilarious.

Sounds innovative.
-
Kind of like the Zamboni in wrath, I assume. where an objective needs be completed to ensure the screeb can progress eventually blowing something up at the end

1 ReplyDestiny community: Stop recycling enemies as bosses! Also Destiny community: GIANT SCREEB ENCOUNTER

1 ReplyIt could be like a big roach, when you shoot it, all it’s babies come of of it

Gotta admit I assumed Scourge was going to be a Scorn raid. New raid, new enemies, right? Nope. Fallen again.

Some of the replies in this thread are incredible. I love your enthusiasm and creativity, seriously. I'm humbled by this support. Thank you so very much!

That sounds cool instead of a dps race like all raid bosses you and your team have to lure a screeb to a giant scorn captain boss to kill it or a door to blow open something other than pure damage to kill a boss would spice things up
-
A strike with a giant screeb boss. Boss encounter starts and he immediately kamakazies and completes the strike.
-
how about a giant screeb monstrosity that we must slowly disarm to kill? if we dps it too much, it explodes and kills the team
-
1 ReplyWhat if it was like Ablazed Glory in Scourge of the past, where you would have to escape the giant screeb before it explodes?
-
Destroy a large grit spot-hide x amount of times Unique way to do final hide to avoid wipe Hardcore enough to put up a dawn and survive
-
As a Titan, I'll instinctively say no. I'll most likely punch the shit out of it.

1 ReplyEdited by ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ: 6/22/2019 6:43:32 PMWould definitely NEVER join ANYTHING with a full raid horde of screebs. Eff that....
-
Edited by UK Mojo: 6/22/2019 5:42:01 PMThe Mega Screb! we need it! i want a pet screb as well
-
I will never do a raid that consists of only Taken and Scorn. F that!!!
-
OK! Would desperately join groups for a raid like that!
-
I can just imagine the fight: intense music, high-stakes action. You turn around and this giant Screeb is just walking at the speed of a turtle, making loud, deep groans and shaking the ground every time it steps. I’d be dying of laughter if this were in the game and it honestly should be.
-
Edited by Amirai: 6/22/2019 3:34:13 PMYea and it poops out regular/yellow bar screebs that chase you down during the fight. You have to make them explode on certain plates in order to keep the Big Screeb alive, and to intiate Rotating (2, or 3man) damage phases where others Hide while the team does DPS on specific “blue warts” with a Buff/Shield active to prevent them from dying in each explosion destroying too many Orbs, say, more than 4, at a time causes the whole thing to Burst, leading to a Wipe When an Orb is popped, many Yellow-Bar screebs come out and the Non-DPS team must kill hem before they reach the DPS team (similar to the SoTP 3rd Encounter with the Shanks)

Think of how easy it would be to troll. Other then that sounds like fun!

That sounds intense

Totally how my level design and thought process works. I instantly thought a huge thrall maze, bit something a little different would be crazy funny to play. My clan is Explodies. We are them lmao
