I was happy with iron banner
Until they said light level is getting re enabled because as a warmind player I can’t do shit in iron banner. All those powerful gear bounties yeah well I can’t do them cause I deal 50% less damage and take 50% more.
Meaning iron banner for someone without forsaken is already terrible. You die instantly
You can’t get kills sometimes even your super refuses to kill someone who’s already had their shield broken. It’s toxic because every iron banner it’s like they’re teasing the people who haven’t paid for forsaken with all that powerful gear. Saying hey you want this go play iron banner and suffer or better yet pay us money to catch up so you can do them without losing brain cells.
I haven’t gone into iron banner since the first one post forsaken. Which sucks because back then I used to love iron banner. It was my go to for leveling up and now I can’t even use it to level my 350 guardians up to 385.

So... you should have bought Forsaken. Why play only half of a game? Seriously, who even still plays this game if they didnt buy forsaken?!? 🤣🤔
-
Sorry but I don’t pay for something that doesn’t appeal me. $40 is a good chunk of change and some of us don’t wipe our asses with twenty dollar bills.
-
Thank you for reminding us that Destiny 2 is pay-to-win. Proof: Iron Banner

I’m sorry to hear that Destiny is too hard for you now. Have you considered Fortnite or Call of Duty? If you save your allowance, you may be able to afford the current expansion.
-
What activities or fun has it been just playing Osiris and Warmind activities over and over again? I am confused how you would have continued playing and how aren't you 385 already?
-
Well I’ve only played the year one stuff a small bit. I didn’t really care for the game until just recently with the next dlc announcement and all the things coming with it. Yes it’s the same shit different day but that ain’t so different than what you year 2 players do each week. Y’all focus on milestones just as often. There is a good thing though year one players are allowed to grind out pinnacle rewards so technically my level 30 350 light level warlock could kick butt with Luna’s howl.
-
Wait, you’re upset that you can’t compete in a live service game that you haven’t paid into in over a year?
-
Sorry but iron banner was free and fair to all at launch Taking that away from everyone by forcing them to pay money just to have a fighting chance is a low blow. How’d you like it if they took out a reliable source of powerful gear and told you you can either sit there and die constantly and make no progress or you can pay us to enjoy what we took from you. Let’s say they locked out enhancement cores to anyone who doesn’t buy Shadowkeep You’d be pretty pissed if you don’t buy Shadowkeep right? Can you see my point now?
-
But they didn’t change anything. They didn’t take anything away. Iron banner has always been power enabled. Why would bungie change that after 5 years just because there are a few people complaining and they no longer support the game anyways?

Edited by Talia Sendua: 6/21/2019 11:48:19 AMThat's all your own fault because you didn't bought the forsaken expansion. Go pay 30-40$ and your problems are solved.
-
Shouldn’t have to pay to compete
-
Then don't play always-online games. This game isn't focused only on pvp. When pve affects pvp, then you have to live with that.
-
After Shadowkeep this will be no longer a problem. But really what the point to play this game without Forsaken?
-
Yes you’re right about it not being a problem since the new light update will make everyone 750 (from what we assume) or will allow current players to grind up to 750. I didn’t buy forsaken because at the time I wasn’t “happy” with the state of destiny 2. Now that the annual pass is over and we’ve had several months to play through this content as a whole and now that it’s at a far more reasonable price I think it’s worth the money. Granted paying $40 just to compete in iron banner is pretty bad when you consider they did this to hurt players like me who didn’t buy the new DLC.

Edited by SpaceJim: 6/21/2019 10:51:18 AMWell, Bungie have to sell DLCs. And for some players, who play Destiny as PvP game, there are no other triggers to make them buy Forsaken. After september 17th, PvP players will have no reason to buy DLCs. Every map, 800 light level and even Moon itself will be available in New Light. So guess Bungie show that they don't want to force players to buy something they don't need. But Forsaken was sponsored by Activision and I think publisher wanted to sell as many copies of it as possible. So it's not wise to blame Bungie in this point. I really want to see next year of Destiny 2. How Bungie will handle with Bungie's ups and downs. It's intresting. And money couldn't be a problem, when your partner is Google.

They could’ve kept iron banner the way it was and just offered more gear to people buying the DLC. I would’ve been fine with that. Even if some of that dlc gear was apart of iron banner and I couldn’t obtain it.

Yeah well, uhm lol
