I don't care about the quest. It's in my inventory. I'm making progress on it. But I'm not excited to beat it. Enhanced perks are exciting. Playing a good game, win or lose, is exciting to me. A long, grindy, tedious, uninteresting quest, is not exciting to me. Here is A Better quest idea for Iron banner:
1. The Iron Lords had themed weapons. Weapons named after them. The assumption, to me, is that the weapon in question was almost like an extension of their own body. You could ask us to get kills with our favorite weapons. Allow us to select a weapon/weapons that we like to use. And give us a set amount of kills to get. Or objectives to complete while the weapon is in our loadout (not equipped, too tedious) this follows the idea that, as Lord Saladin says: "Your *Weapon* defines you". You can do this for each quest step. And weapons that are masterworked should inherently give you more progress. That shows the commitment you've made to your chosen weapon. Also, you could give better rewards for sticking to a few select weapons through each quest step, or make faster progress by using different weapons. But please make it more reasonable. The common gamer does not want to spend 80 hours a week playing Iron Banner to complete 1 quest step.
Also, I want to know more about the Iron Lords. I didn't play D1. And lore has always been messy in this game. Attach lore to these quests. Give Saladin compelling dialogue to speak to us with, good cutscenes showing the iron lords in their glory. Even the audio files that you gave to Drifter were amazing. Give Saladin something similar. Maybe audio files of battles taking place, exchanges with different enemies of the past with the looming threat of their return, which tells us why Saladin always brings the Iron Banner, to get the next generation of Guardians ready for that fateful day.
What's done is done. Please, if you can't implement or change anything now, consider my and all the players ideas for the future. Thank you for making our game.

3 RepliesDid the whole quest in like... 6 hours. I sniped, fusioned, scouted, grenaded, did it all. The armor is hard to get now. It actually means something. Working on Warlock now. So far, my guide is this: Titan: Top tree hammers, heart of Inmost light. Warlock: contraverse hold, ophidian aspect w/sub or sidearm Use Jade Rabbit, Black Talon, Telesto, Cerberus maybe?
