I don't think you could do this quest on 3 characters unless Destiny is your full time job. I have already invested 8 hours in the quest and I just got to step 5 which I think calls for 50 IB completions. That is easily going to take another 5-6 hours. That's a total of 45 hours in a week. I don't even work that many hours at my professional job where I get paid. Needless to say, this quest is far beyond even people who consider themselves hardcore players. Had Bungie not decided to change armor for a third time in September -- which I am actually pumped for and love what it sounds like it's going to be -- this quest would not have been such an issue. But the fact that Bungie wants people to grind this much for armor that will most likely become irrelevant in Y3 is such a slap in the face. I am definitely skipping Solstice unless Bungie come out and say that that armor will at least become an ornament in Y3. This kind of stuff is what I fear for September. Bungie can give away the game with New Light and bring in a bunch of new players but if this kind of meaningless grind continues they wont retain any of them. Hell, even if IB was a Fri–Sun event every weekend it would make the quest a little less unbearable. Luckily for me I need 5 resets in a season for Broadsword quest so I need the Valor anyways.
