The quests are a good idea in principle but you have to dedicate too much time while the event is on to have a chance at getting the items. Any person who has a full time job and family commitments won't be able to do that.
If iron banner was on all season it would be doable but then that would take away from the event.
It's a shame because IB is my favourite thing about Destiny, love the idea of it and the whole asthetic of the armour/weapons.
However I suspect the grind is just the way the event is designed to be, bungie want to see people re-engaging each iron banner in the season to try and finish off the quest steps, if the steps were so easy that people could get all the items In one IB I guess this wouldn't happen at the same level.
So yeah, I don't like the grind here but I understand why it's there, maybe a middle ground where it doesn't take QUITE as long so people who want to gear up their alts or who can't sink as much time into the game have more of a chance.

That's my issue man. I travel for work sometimes and lucky me I take off for another gig Friday. So I'll lose 3.5 days to try and grind on that bounty. If IB stays on this schedule I won't be around at all for the one in July or August so that's a bummer. I probably will never finish this quest (that's not on Bungie, just how life works sometimes). I can't wait until September. This won't be an issue. Once it moves to Steam I can game on the road and progress my character.
