Can we remove Equinox entirely from the game?
I don’t care what anyone will try to say to me, but Equinox is by far the worst map in the entire game. It’s too easy to manipulate, spawn trapping is in high abundance, too many blind spots, and so many other things just make this map horrible. And it’s worse when it’s a game mode like Iron Banner or Control, because then the likelihood of one sided matches coming up are increased tenfold.
Please, just remove this map and replace it with a better one.
Edit for clarity: This is [i]not[/i] about loadouts or weapons or anything like that. This is just about map design. And Equinox easily has the worst design of any map in the game.

Can't afford to remove any maps, even the "bad" ones. I happen to like Equinox though.

So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

It’s like 10-15 seconds. Equinox is wide open for the most part. All the battles in the Citadel are on B-Flag, the tiny pathways exiting B, or the center building next to B. The rest of the time you are spending running from spawn to that area. If I could axe 3 maps Citadel is at the top. 2 - Firebase Echo and 3- Either Gamber’s Ruin or Equinox.

1 ReplyAs others have already said - no, it's one of the few long range maps in PvP and we need all the variety we can get. With reasonably equal teams, I've had some great tactical matches where both teams defend the middle tunnel as well as their side of the open area, requiring some crispy quick snipes to start a push. However like a handful of maps, it can result in some terrible spawn trapping if the teams are unequal, potentially being the very worst in this area. The map needs to actually be much bigger - have the middle tunnel be over 2X as long as it is today and the outside 50% longer (so a wider V shape) so it takes significantly longer to switch to the other spawn and hard spawn trapping is much harder.

1 ReplyIt’s definitely a big contrast from the rest of the maps, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s nice to have a map that isn’t super cramped all the time. The map still has flaws, but I don’t really mind it.
