Not every player is going to get every item in the game.
Iron Banner is supposed to be endgame content (Yes I know the amour is just re-skinned but that's beside the point) so If you want the armour then simply play and earn it.
This is also the first Iron Banner this Season so anything you don't earn this week you can simply pick up where you left off come next Iron Banner.

Sad they locked shaders with this quest. =_=
-
Did they? well that sucks, I only have about 3 matches done so far this week.
-
^THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS SO MUCH OF THIS
-
If iron banner was endgame content it wouldn't be timegated. It's event content, stuff that periodically shows up and doesn't stay. The fact that you can't play iron banner on d1 is evidence of this. They could have easily left it in so everyone could keep playing it and even let you collect all armor versions along the way.
-
Shattered Throne is time gated Raid challenges are time gated And the list goes on Not all content is going to be up at once dude and thats fine. When more stuff is up that puts more stress on their overall systems that they have in place. Just because its time gated doesn't mean its not endgame or pinnacle.
-
Loot from the raid is time gated Loot from trials of osiris was time gated. I don't get your point
-
Timegated loot in raids. What?
-
You can only get loot from raids once per week per character. Time gated
-
But raids are not events that pop up once per month.
-
Edited by N7_Dredgen: 6/19/2019 7:16:46 PMThat's not even remotely the same. You can still run the raids over and over if you wanted. Iron Banner as an activity, in itself, is time limited.
-
Yes you can run the raid over and over again And you'll get nothing. The loot is still time gated
-
With that logic I can understand your point, but then we'd have to say all powerful gear - the entirety of the game, is time gated. Which I guess, it loosely is. That said, Iron Banner is not time gated, and I think that's a misconception the other guy had. It's time limited. Time gates stifle progression in an activity by making you wait. Whereas time limited just means its available a short period of time.

If Bungie wants me to grind for armor, they better make sure it isn't just the literal same copy and pasted armor from Year 1 (reskin is inaccurate. It's the exact same armor), which is nothing but gross ugly weeb shit. Give me Viking, Knight, or Roman. I am so tired of this ugly wood plate armor, in Iron banner.
-
Year 1 armor had enhanced perks??? Interesting.
-
Ah, I see. Yeah, it's funny really. Listen closely - there's this thing, and I know it sounds crazy - but there's this thing coming out in three months that makes those perks absolutely useless. Which is, you know, insane really. Also, also, before you go, maybe think about this... they could have made a new armor set... which we haven't already grinded for, with enhanced perks! Maybe a set that looks half decent too. I know it seems like madness, but maybe you can wrap that wee little head of yours around this, assuming you can pry it out of your own ass.
-
Wow, maybe watch the vidoc again. You'll be able to use any armor with any perks you've unlocked. But it's ok you want to be a hater.
-
Oh sweet. You wanna take that and file it under shit I already know?
-
Then your previous statement was completely idiotic.
-
Oh, that we get more copy and pasted armor? Yeah, no. The statement stands. Your interpretation is just lacking.
-
Armor will not be worthless, your statement is false.
-
Armor with specific perks will not matter. Making the grind for armor with specific perks pointless.
-
Grinding for specific perks is pointless? The IB armor rolls with enhanced perks, how is enhanced perks worthless?
-
Okay. Perhaps I was not clear. You will be able to apply such perks to your future armor. So grinding for it now, is pointless.
-
Same Armour just new perks, Guess since Y1 armour didn't have them that's why they brought them back. That's what I meant, Sorry and Thanks.
