I could be wrong here so feel free to correct me, but after so much build up to everyone choosing a side in Drifter vs Vanguard in the end there is absolutely no consequences either way?
A bit disappointing. The concept of the quest was really cool, and it was also nice to see Destiny giving players a choice within a quest (ie leaning more into RPG territory). I would really have liked to see some fallout of player choice in other quests.
Anyone else?

3 RepliesYou do realize that the story is ongoing, right? Plus this game isn't Mass Effect. There is a limit to what you can do in terms of individual consequences in a worlds that is shared by millions of other players.
-
3 RepliesWell they were kinda limited from the beginning. The major change between choices is how Drifter views you (canonically speaking).
-
They said they're going in a more RPG way. So maybe in ShadowKeep or something else down the ways will be influenced by your choice.

<What's weird is that it was less of a choice between the Vanguard and the Drifter, rather a moral choice between the Drifter's methodology or Aunor's extremist views surrounding the Light. Do you want to stay a Lightbearer or chase after something that could help you be a force of pure balance? The latter could potentially be expanded into a full blown storyline where you could either keep the balance act or "join" the Darkness and be killed by it.>

I dont know. We'll have to see. Though I think it's fun that those who picked the Vanguard, often during Gambit Drifter calls you Snitch alot

1 ReplyI mean...it wasn’t exactly set up to have many consequences. But, whoever you choose, now either side spite you and every chance they get.

Edited by FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 6/18/2019 7:41:40 PMIt is disappointing that there is so far no continuation of the quest line. All it effects story wise is that the Drifter just sometimes calls you a snitch in gambit.

Inb4 season of the Vanguard, where we help the vanguard choose a Hunter Vanguard
-
Yep and my Titan is still called a snitch

If they implemented it into the future dlcs I feel like it would have been better. I personally liked the choice of siding with the vanguard or turning down a path of learning and using the darkeness. But hey we don’t if they won’t use what we did in he future, because we do still get packages from either or so who knows 🤷🏻♂️
