Let's not forget that in the movie, there are creatures on the spectrum of lovecraftian monsters so a hairy man that speaks in grunts isn't that bad. Using the fact that chewy is a furry humanoid creature to say he is a furry is wrong for many reasons. 1. Wookies are an actual species in this universe and chewie was born as one. He is not a human dressing like and claiming he is a wookie he just is one. 2. You use the rationale that chewie is furry and humanoid to state that he is a furry. This is not true using that logic gorillas, chimpanzees, and every other primate is a furry. 3. Chewie is loved because he is an iconic character in an iconic movie. You are perceived in a negative way here not because you are a bear, but because that's all you are. You don't show any personality traits other than the quote "I am a bear" and people don't like that the same way they don't like people who makes sure everyone knows that they're vegan. My advice for you if you want to be accepted here for the slim chance that you're not a troll. Give this post a week or two to die down, change your profile name and pic, and come back to interact with the community, but don't tell anyone you're a bear once we get to know you then tell us your interest in the topic and even after we know don't constantly bring it up.
