Your character save data will be able to be set up with cross-save to allow you to play on PC. Your licenses are not part of the cross-save data feature. Licenses are platform specific. If you wish to play specific content on the PC that requires a license, you'll need to purchase that license on the PC; it will not transfer from your PS4 to your PC account with cross-save.

  • The way that cross saving is going to work is you are going go select your active profile. If you want to play with your PC characters as they are now, you can select them to be the active ones. If you want to switch to your console characters, you change to them. Nothing is going to be deleted or replaced. From the looks of it, you don't even need to activate cross save if you don't want to. As for licensing, that's on a per platform basis. If you have Forsaken on the console, you will need to purchase it on the PC. If you don't purchase it on the PC, your console Forsaken gear can be used on the PC without issue, but any Forsaken activities you want to participate in, such as Gambit, cannot be accessed. If you purchase Forsaken now on Blizzard, you will retain that license when we all move over to Steam. If you don't pick it up now, you can purchase Forsaken on Steam on, or around, September 17th.

Would you mind restating your question in different wording? I don't understand what you're asking concerning Shadowkeep in September concerning character equipment gained between now and then or its replacement. Shadowkeep is a DLC, it's not a whole new game. - If you choose to use your PS4 characters as the cross-save characters, then those characters will be available on whatever platform you decide to play on. If you wish to move everything entirely to the PC, then you'll need to buy the Destiny 2 Forsaken Complete Collection, Shadowkeep, and you'll want to set up your PS4 characters for the cross-save. Doing that will allow you to play your characters on PC, and they will have all of the progress you made on the PS4.
