Since last night, I've been having issues logging into Destiny 2 on PC. It starts up fine, but after I choose my character, I get put onto a black loading screen that never ends, and I'm unable to do anything but pull up my inventory, options, or director (the last of which doesn't appear; it just plays the sound of the director opening). After a few minutes, I'll be prompted to use the Scan and Repair option in the Battle.net launcher, but this hasn't done anything to fix the problem. I have also restarted my computer, but that hasn't worked either.
I should also note that I recently had to reinstall the game when Season 7 began because the files couldn't be located. If anyone thinks that has something to do with the problem, let me know.
I recently got onto live chat with a Blizzard tech support member, and they had me disable all overlays, update Windows, and scan and repair again. However, none of this worked, and they concluded that the problem was on Bungie's end. My choices now are to either reinstall the game (again) or find a solution in the forums.
UPDATE: I reinstalled the game, but it isn't much better. The Director loads up, but I still get stuck on a loading screen whenever I try to go somewhere, and the same problem of the scan-repair prompt still happens. I'm reinstalling again.
UPDATE 2: Reinstalled again, and the game now seems to be functional. However, I've crashed at least twice, potentially thrice: once in a Gambit Prime match, once in a strike, and in the last I don't remember what I was doing. I was presented with the same error window as before, but I do have a potential solution to the problem just in case the Scan and Repair process doesn't work.
