I understand it's probably a minority (though a very vocal one), but why are so many people complaining? Am I the only one who remembers the 50 minute gameplay last year that featured the character being a woman? Besides, they've already confirmed that you can make your character trans if you wish.
It makes me lose even more hope in people that they can blindly hate a company as good as cd projekt red.

I remember back when the Witcher 3 was released that some complained about the lack of colored people in that game. Which is true, but they seemed to have forgotten that CDPR is based in Poland, a country where the population is 99% white. Not all countries have a mixed populationn and that will show in their culture and in games that are releases from those countries.

1 ReplyNot that I’m saying you’re wrong or lying, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

The customization scene from last year had different races in it didn't it? This is probably just someone who is uninformed being angry. As is tradition.

That's just SJWs and Games activists for you, they always need to find something to complain about no matter how little it is. "Straight white men" to them is just another way of saying, not in our group or you don't agree with us. So even a gay black woman could be labelled as such. It's kind of like that phase we went through with #Gaming where some Xbox fanboys were labelling people regardless of platform (Xbone, PS4, PC and Nintendo), a "pony" if you didn't 100% agree with them.

61 RepliesEdited by Breach: 6/16/2019 2:43:41 PMThe game looks like shit to me tbh. The only good qualities it had were slight anime-esq. dialogue and Keanu. The rest of it looks like generic garbage. What kind of game is it again? Yawn. I’ll just wait till a REAL game like Modern Warfare comes out :3 Lel all these cyberpunk kids getting mad they’re about to get cyberPUNK’D out of their money for a cheaply made, half-finished game where most of the money is going into the dev’s pockets.

People like to complain to be seen. This is that situation. They want to desperately make a scene to be noticed that they literally complain about the most minuscule thing ever. I literally don’t understand it.

TheKaijuGojiraLove-hate relations with Tokyo since ‘54 - old
But isn’t that like 65% of gamers? No offence meant. -
White person on the cover? Must be a slave owner simulator (sataire)becuse people these day will take me seriously))

Their games are great. Their policies aren't

6 Replies...and why does the fact that other people see the world differently than you do, bother you? I learned a long time ago that no one can tell me whether I'll like a game or not....and I disagree with lots of people about what are good games. The Witcher is a good story-game....but the actual game play is clunky to me. Cyberpunk looks like it will be another really good story game....but (again) what I've seen of the gameplay seems pretty average. Not everyone wants the same things. Not everyone likes the same things. Not everyone see the world in the same way. ..and people aren't "wrong" simply because they disagree with you....and you aren't "wrong" because you disagee with them.

2 RepliesEdited by Uncanny_Vale: 6/15/2019 12:53:34 PMI haven’t heard anything about that. Probably just click bait youtubers trying to fabricate outrage for views. Just like the thousands of ant-SJW videos on YouTube. There’s a whole industry out there built around feeding SJW and anti-SJW “outrage”.

1 Reply>Millions of straight men buy cyberpunk >see Keanu Reeves >No longer played by millions of straight men

3 RepliesStraight white men are generally the ones complaining about how progressive cyberpunk is. You got any sources on this?

2 RepliesEdited by Orcinus Orca: 6/15/2019 5:52:34 PMMost gamers are most likely male and straight. White? I don't know. There's China with a population bigger than Europe and North America (incl. Mexico) combined, but not sure how many of them are actually gamers and potential buyers of Cyberpunk 2077. Not sure if western games are advertised much over there and if the interest in Cyberpunk 2077 and western games in general is big. Anyone knows?

... What's this! Good business practice by targeting a specific demographic!?! Sexist! Racist! Homophobic! How DARE they not appeal to every people group in existence...
😒

not included in the DLC
Edited by DemonicChronic: 6/16/2019 3:37:06 AMPeople are far too obsessed with their identity nowadays and are constantly seeking validation through various means. They can't seem to understand that they are something greater than their immutable characteristics like race, gender, sexuality, etc. and so they define their very existence by those characteristics. It's also the case now that being a victim earns you social renown, and it's an easy way to attract attention. Victimhood has become a social currency generated through grievance, and the more you have, the more power and influence you gain.

Why is that an issue? Isn't the key to successful marketing identifying and appealing to your target population? Is it not extremely conceited to be upset that you aren't part of a marketing campaign's target population? Should I be upset that eye liner and lipstick aren't marketed to me?
good as cd projekt red.
They alright.

I miss when developers made the games that they wanted us to play instead of worrying about what a small minority of people that aren’t even going to play their game say about it

1 ReplyJust another bunch of angry SJW's that got picked on in high school.

More agenda shoving bs .

I understand it's probably a minority (though a very vocal one), but why are so many people complaining?
Most of the outrage I've seen is aimed at a singular image from an advertisement in the game.

1 Reply-blam!- em. And you can get mute too for proliferating the bullshit.

2 RepliesWait why does that matter?

1 ReplyEdited by Bopsheezi: 6/15/2019 8:45:44 PMEh, the game doesn't appeal to me. Also don't really understand how appealing to a certain demographic is a bad thing.
